You could try openatv or pur-e2 or even blackhole. There are loads of images though and its choice. I don't hear many using what I use pure-e2 but I think it looks even better that openatv.

So have you got afn working. Oh and to just make it interesting there is an even newer version of oscam out late today. Its is rev 773 and has hash mode 17 and 18 which i guess is for people in the far east.

I had a similar problem to Satcat although with VTi.
The solution was to use the 'Install IPK with force over-write' item from the software management menu.

re post 94 above (Fransat) I gave it a go without success but it prompted me to dump VTi in favour of OpenATV which I prefer and which retains the CI+ facility of VTi. Oscam PV set up again after overcoming ATV's oddball approach to oscam file locations through editing /etc/oscam.emu to point to the usual place.
    Thanks again

The problem I have now is that after the box is rebooted I have to go into softcam manager and manually start oscam, even though I have "enable startup" ticked.
I also takes 3 or 4 presses of start before it does connect, after which it works fine.
    Any Ideas?

Might be you have two readers with afn in them. Known oscam issue.

I have since found that it does start itself if left alone for a while.
Of a night I put my box into deep standby and have the power timer set for 8am for it to wake up and go to standby, and when I come to switch it on, mid morning, all is well.

The key update EMMs cycle through the UAs in numerical order. The full cycle takes about 50 minutes. There is a few minutes pause and then the regime starts again. How long it takes for you to get a hit depends upon the number and values of the UAs you have in your softcam.key file and also just when you join the AU EMM cycle.
If you are lucky, one of your UAs will be just slightly higher than the UA value currently been sent and the AU will happen quickly.
If you are unlucky and all of your UAs have passed then you will have to wait for the cycle to start again and the AU could take possibly 30 minutes.

If you can organise your softcam.key file to have a good number of well spaced UAs you can minimise the wait time.
The UA range is from about 001xxxxx to about 006xxxxx. I believe up to about 15 UAs can be employed.
