    Just a hint,
when i was trying to recover my azbox, on my computer i had two windows open. One window was putty and the other one the pdf guide by pr2 for recovering.
It took me a long time to understand why ctr-c was not working for me,but the answer was simple.
Putty window was not active when i was pressing ctrl-c,it was the guide window active.
So make sure putty window is active and also you must press ctrl-c really fast when you see the message on putty.

i have a box where i cant enter CRTL-C to break into YAMOM. I was trying out the serial port connections by trial and error before i found out the proper connections, so i'm assuming i have blown the uart0 port on the chip.(its TX outputs OK, but its RX is not working and so CTRL-C has no effect.

Maybe you connected up VCC to TX or RX pin by mistake?

I connect only tx,rx and gnd from old gsm cable with pl2303 chip. I didn`t connect VCC. Maybe I made mistake in rx. I check this carrefully in home.

GSM USB cable did not work for me, only serial port, and TTL converters Max232
I tried USB / RS232 cable connected RS232TTL converter, you can not respond to CTRL + c

Another usb serial converter responded ctrl + c, in this case could not be written in the putty window

If you have a laptop without a serial port, you can try this:
    Serial Express card

    This works for me

I recovered my azbox with a CA-42 Nokia clone cable.
Maybe you can use the drivers i attached, which came with my cable.
    Good luck.

    Hello,

Put the original patch.bin on your memory stick.
When you are in rescue mode use JAZUP v1.3, jazup'll copy the official Kernel.
When Jazup reboot your azbox you drop on the official update screen.
    Use USB upgrade option.

    Regards.
