Thats interesting, since you are the first that reports that movies work directly from HD. Earlier I think movies only worked if played from a network mounted disk, as this was tested by sattommy.

Could you please supply some details about your setup.
Is this an internal or external HD?
Is it formatted with linux (EXT2) or by NTFS filesystem?
Also I would like to know if you was able to save your scanned movie list in Valerie?
What version of valerie are you using, and have you some other relevant addons or plugins to make this work?

As many others, I tested the latest Enigma2 RTi core 1.0.1 BETA version.
Installing via Azup V1.2.5 worked fine
Had the same problems reported earlier in this forum like no sound on Canaal Digitaal HD channels with stuttering video. After looking around a bit more I decided to go back to the old V5020 version.
This again went without problems.
One thing I do not understand, when I telnet to the box I still had the changed password I used before going to Enigma2 and back....
So can it be that not all info on the flash is deleted/ written over?
When the Enigma2 version was on the box there was no password and I never set it myself either.

No I did not but as new partitions are created would it not be logical to assume no need for that?

Me.dia player is playing movies in avi but project valerie is not seeing my portable HDD did Valerie auto detect or do you have to tell it manually where it is but I have noticed through DCC I cannot see my portable drive through ftp can you help please as doing me head in!!!!!

Online Software update, does this mean we can update via menu without flashing over and over again with patch.bin?

It means, that if there is just some driver update or puthon .py file related to Enigma 2 , You can update it, and we dont need to make full Enigma 2 Image .

Also, like there is e.g : Fix for Skin, You can update it, it will install it and reboot STB

That is 3rd parity plugin, and please do not post those kind of errors as we use daily build version... And as far as i can see we didnt put in change log anything regarding EPG. Thanks
