can anybody confirm this?

Sound problem also in premium. I have old version feb/march 2009.
Sometimes distortion after swapping to new channel. Distortion also appeared when cross epg was milling the data.
Anyway cross epg is not fully functional for me.
ALso ddamir text plugin doesn't get epg data correctly

EDIT:
Seems like least at 5w position transponders with high snr (92-94 %) have more distorted sound.

I've found two new bugs:

Volume Control: If I trigger the volume down to zero, the sound won't come to zero level. The volume bar shows me "zero" (no bar) but I still hear sound. A further reduction has no effect. The "mute" Button on RCU has no effect also.

Standby: If I turn the box into standby, the sound is sometimes gone after wakeup (Premium +). I have to switch to another channel and go back to get sound again.

No, I'm not. It worked like a charm on Premium +
Tested with zapping from NatGeo HD to ZDF HD and back

i did this to setup CrossEPG:

Enigma2 installation (dreambox)

with a unix compatible editor edit the file /usr/bin/enigma2.sh and before the line

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libopen.so.0.0 /usr/bin/enigma2

add this line

/usr/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh



After reboot i went to download manually, then i reboot again, and EPG fully working.

Now only clock gets crazy

Do you save your epg data to hard drive or Dom, I tried your trick but cant get epg to populate?

Audio still appears to break up or distort on SD channels after a while watching on same channel.

Some intermittent No Audio problem when switching channels.

Some lock ups causing stuck on the Gears and have to reboot during channel changing.

Much better than v1.0.0

I get the following error:

With me it's running pretty smooth on usb. It's not like the dreambox but ok.
You have to be patiënt when using usb it'll take about 8 min even to install.
But it'll work.
I'll report later on.

- RCU key doubling (pushed key one time and cursor moved two times) in some menus still exist. Changing ActionMap.pyo does not change anything.

I have a plain Premium and replacing the ActionMap.pyo (and I copied the ActionMap.py file as well, since it came with the same download)
Did you use the file from post #2864?
Also note that you must reboot before the change takes effect.

I can confirm the same with the volume, it doesnt turn off completely with the down button. And also it doesnt help - at that point - to press the mute button.
But if you want to mute, just press the volume up a bit first. Then press the Mute button, and the sound will be off.

Regarding standby, also sometimes the box will not start up after a standby. The display goes blank and no picture or sound.

One question:
-SPDIF OUTPUT is only PCM. I have Marantz Amplifier (only SPDIF no HDMI)
Can I setup SPDIF on Azbox in RAW mode ?

I believe that the reason for having those 'turning wheels' while zapping channels lies in the simple E2 feature: it runs a TP scan in background, sometimes resulting in numerous 'test' channels, data channels, etc.
This often causes an endless loop to E2, resulting in box freeze -no response to RCU.
A solution would be to implement into E2 a new option to Enable/Disable background scanning of TPs (like the one in PLi image for Dreamboxes).
Btw. another reason for box freeze might be the various channel lists that beta-testers upload into AZboxes - many are overloaded with tons of similar TPs or simply outdated (take a peek with some channel editor -you'll be surprised what a mess you'll see there!).
I'd strongly suggest that we come out with a unique list with updated TPs for the two major sats, Astra 19.2E and Hotbird 13E, and stick to them while testing E2. Everything else will go too far to successfully track down possible causes of stuttering, freezes, etc.

Try to delete partition and reformat usb pen drive and try again.
How big is the pen drive?
