I can't also play any of my files using USB.
Screen is black and time remains on 0:00:00.
    On YouTube the same problem.
    I have an Elite.

Do you have this "hardware acceleration" on original image activated?

Please try "cat /proc/cpuinfo" on telnet and show us the bogomips.

    My box have:
    Initial BogoMIPS: 342.01

I suppose the differences between this time-bug descriptions depends on it.
My box (Elite) never had hardware acceleration activated
And the clock is crazy ( ~ 2 times too fast ! )

    Code:
system type : Sigma Designs TangoX
    processor : 0
    cpu model : MIPS 4KEc V6.9
    Initial BogoMIPS : 293.88
    wait instruction : yes
    microsecond timers : yes
    tlb_entries : 32
    extra interrupt vector : yes
    hardware watchpoint : yes
    ASEs implemented : mips16
    shadow register sets : 1
    VCED exceptions : not available
    VCEI exceptions : not available

System bus frequency : 80000000 Hz
    CPU frequency : 80000000 Hz
    DSP frequency : 80000000 Hz

One more thing about Media Player

When we are in the movies dir, for each RCU click the onscreen cursor goes 2 spaces.

In the list, for example, im in movie 1 and i press RCU to go down to movie 2 but the cursor in the list goes to movie 3. Again i press for movie 4 and the cursor goes to movie 5.

Can you check this please, and the failure to play movies in usb HDD. Is just what is missing for daily use of this great Firmware.

I turned off my Azbox yesterday, and today when I turned it on it just kept rebooting itself.
Then I remembered that I had disconnected my network adapter also, when connecting this, the Azbox booted as normally. So it seemes that the Azbox refuse to boot if network is not present. (I have cccam with autostart, so maybe that can cause problems if server not found)

I also experienced that the HDMI output sometimes is pinkish, and needs to reboot to get it normal.

I did a software update from the menu, and it did download and install two packages. After this it tried to reboot itself, but hung, so I had to restart it manually.
After this update the zapping seemed a lot faster here Any idea about what's in that update?

Many people with premium and harddrive have probably, like me, a lot of downloaded movies on their harddrive from earlier.
I also only get a black screen when trying to play mp4 or avi files from harddrive.

LoL... that's REALLY interesting... so far, no one reported of any E2 server for AZbox with live updates. What menu have you used for "software update"?

    I've done these updates too...

    Zapping speed:

    FTA
SD to SD: ~2.8 - 1.8 sec (very different)
    SD to HD: ~2.5 sec
    HD to HD: ~2.8 sec

    ENCRYPTED
    SD to SD: ~5 - 6 sec
    SD to HD: same
    HD to HD: same

    I cannot see any speedup.

All measures are with channel up/down button. If i go to the channel list, choose a new channel and press ok it's faster ( FTA sometimes < 2 sec).

All in all the zapping speed is comparable with my Dreambox800HD. With newnigma2 Image it's as slow too...

    Just the info.......

If you open the box and go to sleep, when you wake up, the channel will already lose sync(no sound) and the picture is always jitter.
Actually, it starts to lose sync after a couple of hours.

Personally, I think that the previous firmwares( .29 and .31) are more stable than this firmware.

I agree with you. I've only tried 1.0.25 and it has better stability than this one.It worked smooth, with sound problem but this release is full of bugs.

Hi, I just want to respond to this.

I too had problems with slow zapping using this release, however after I did a full service scan and opened the channel(s) one time after scan, zapping is MUCH better I would say around 1 sec. Also this seems to fix the audio problem I had before where no audio could be heard. Maybe the pid settings has been screwed up when just transferring a list.

I find it odd how the service scan is done, I have a USALS system with ~12 sat positions chosen. The scan would jump from 39e to 15w just to search some transponder later to switch to a new position and search a transponder there, this making the dish go back and forward. Is this how the scan works on other E2 systems with USALS (to me it seem a bit odd not to search one position/sat at a time).

I can't get internal (hdd) or external USB2 (hdd) video files to work (avi,mkv,mp4,etc) on this version though.

    Best regards!

Strangely just rebooted box and its reset the time and its spot on now dont know why it didnt before assume it will start to lose or gain? And no hardware acceleraton is not enabled!

audio issues still present here as well. some channels no ability to change voume. tuner config aection has strange (repeatable) bug where it prompts if you want to delete satellite. channel zapping subjectively not as fast as 031. manual dish pointing section also buggy. even with all of the above, it has far greater potential than factory firmware. big thanks to the_ripper and team for work thus far.

I did it from the menu > setup > software management > software update

But I must correct myself a bit, I thought the update made my zapping faster.
It was the reboot that did that. I noticed that for encrypted channels zapping speed slows down a lot sometimes after running the box a bit.

But another thing from the software management > manage extensions
I tried install some plugins for testing and found that the plugin Cccam Info 1.3
and the Google Maps are working.

Google maps is of limited use, since it doesnt seem to respond to any scrolling, but this could be due to that the RC keys are not mapped for this plugin.
But the search function and the zoom setting from the menu works, so you should be able to display a map of the searched adress.

Also the IMDB plugin runs, and it does search for movie titles, but selecting one from the found list will result in a failed download. But I think this is the plugin itself that needs updating, because I get the exact same behaviour when running this plugin on my DM800.

What not to try to download is the DVD player plugin, this will install itself in the menu, but will crash the Azbox when trying to use it.
Also downloading the MyTube plugin is not recommended, as it seemes to break the built-in youtube plugin.

Most people have noticed that the volume up button doesnt work...

Anyone know how to reset the volume setting again if you have lowered the volume to much and are stuck with almost no sound?

Used until repaired, WEB Azbox and you can control the volumen

    @moderators:

Now this thread reached more than 140 pages!!!
For my humble opinion it make not sense to continue the same thread that will be more and more difficult to read and to find the correct information.
There will be risk of increasing the possibility of people asking the same question as they cannot read the complete discussion.
Please, I'd like to suggest the moderators to close this discussion and open a new discussions for each of next new releases. We could simply start with the discussion for "RTi core BETA 1.0" with the release note and same for next. etc.
    What do you think?

That doesn't work for me. I've made a full service scan (found ~5000 channels on four satellites) but it is as slow as before

Yes, I can confirm that but you have to install webif before.

    I've found it here:
