Since I see you navigate here, I'd like to ask you if opensat still supports the box. The upcoming E2 means that we will never see a 1.0 firmware???
I hope you answer because I think my question reflects the thoughts of all AZBox owners.

if you have a look at the azbox.com-forum you see that there are many,many suggestions and bug-reportings. and to EVERY single entry you get a "reported. thanks" from the mods but there is never a "fixed" entry.
i asked to stop making suggestions since there are more "fixed" than "reported" entries but my entry was NOT "reportet" but "deleted".

so i think that there is no development at all ... and never will be...

sorry! you are right. maybe there is no official firmware cause the coders from OS are supporting the ripper in developping E2. now that's ON TOPIC ;-).

So to summarize ...

This test version of E2 offers a nice boot but no audio/video from tuner and also no mediaplayer. Is this correct?
How we can start playing with a mkv file or something like that?
can i install cccam? i think hfmls did that already

It's just Test release to prove that it's not a fake, I saw menu, my photos from hdd by picture plugin, scan satelite, telnet, ftp and etc.
You cant use it yet

yes u can install cccam but this time it will stop and say that u don't have any cam at all. u must setup it up first.
but it runs as dreambox 7025

Hello,

Just a small report:

I install a brand new HDD (1 TB - Samsung HD103SJ) in a Azbox Premium with the current E2 image.
I go in E2 menu and initialize the HDD and it seems to format it but at the end I have got: 'error: failed to mount'.

I don't think anything gonna happen. Everybody, and even Kanber, wants the E2 port to Azbox to Succeed.
Kanber is just ****ed because he has been waiting too long for a stable OS for Azbox

After reboot with E2. i get "=s" in the display, all black on TV.

I tryed with a USB and restart but it will not find the USB??

I can FTP to the box!!

Just to tell how great & responsible is the Ripper - MickeySa....& the rest of team working on E2 development....... while other people are wasting time to critisize... attack .... offense each one the other.
Even when this respectfull team was put on "DOUBTS" corner.... they react with a lot of professionalism to show that it is not "FAKE".... then went on their fruitfull job disregarding many of useless posts.

HOPE that for the upcoming posts: all comments will be ON TOPIC & USEFULL.
