For all those Ubuntu 10.04 users out there, when installing 'AZUp setup.exe' using wine, you may see the error messages...

X Error of failed request: XF86VidModeExtensionDisabled
Major opcode of failed request: 129 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 6 (XF86VidModeGetAllModeLines)
Serial number of failed request: 85
Current serial number in output stream: 85

To get around this, append the following to user.reg

cat ****"$HOME/.wine/user.reg" <<EOF

[Software\\\\Wine\\\\X11 Driver] 1280580367
"U***VidMode"="N"
EOF

Then use

wine regedit

and make sure

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X 11 Driver\U***VidMode = "N"

I have tried

wine AZUp.exe

to verify the window loads, but have NOT tried using it for recovery.

For all members which own, AzBox HD Premium+ here is tutorial how to make E2 test running on their STB.

So, use standard procedure, to load E2 in Premium+, same as Elite/Premium.

Now, reboot Yout STB with usb memory stick in it with patch.bin file on it, just to enter in RECOVERY MODE, to obtain IP Address of Your receiver.

When You noted IP address of AzBox HD Premium+ ( which You can also do by accessing Router of Your LAN ), remove USB Memory stick, and turn off and turn on AzBox HD Receiver, by the power switch on the back side.

When You got on VFD 100, Your box is up and running.

Use FTP to connect on IP address which You already noted, and go in /etc/init.d .

There, You will find file named as bootup.

Download and Edit it.

Inside of it You will find two lines :

# Elite and Premium
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-the_ripper/extra/em8634dvb.ko options="-analog -f PAL_BG -digital -f HDMI_720p50 -hdmi_chip SiI9030 0 14 15 100 0"
# Premium+
#insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-the_ripper/extra/em8634dvb.ko options="-analog -f PAL_BG -digital -f HDMI_720p50 -hdmi_chip SiI9134 0 14 15 100 0"

Comment insmode line below # Elite/Premium with character #.

Uncomment insmod line below #Premium+ , save file and overwrite existing file on STB.

Now, switch off and switch on Your Premium+, and You should have GUI and everything on Your Premium+ .

The problem is just as Elite/Premium are using Sil9030 HDMI Chip, and Premium is using Sil9134 . So it is same procedure to get it working on AzBox Ultra HD.

Hi! thank you for your work I would like to say
But I followed the readme text and used a fat 32 64 mb usb flashdrive (could it be that I have left a ch and a cam back up into it?),

I also ended up with "geko :P"
on my router (wrt600n DD-WRT) it's still showing my static IP for the box "192.168.3.129"
if I try to ping that IP I get "request timed out"
I restarted my pc and nothing.
Any advice?

By making the change to the bootup file as you suggested (including commenting and uncommenting) using:

insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-the_ripper/extra/em8634dvb.ko options="-analog -f NTSC_M -digital -f HDMI_720p60 -hdmi_chip SiI9134 0 14 15 100 0"

I am able now to get my HDMI (NTSC) to display however I do not get past the occasional spinning gears :(

If my syntax is wrong for an NTSC HDMI display please advise. If my video is properly configured, it appears that E2 is not loading?

Hmm having problem with this one.
Installed like Elite/Premium
Got Ipadres

Waited till VFD gave 100
Changed bootup
Reboot

In VFD I got

- Usb check
- Resque mode
- Resque mode?

And then stays black nothing is happening?

Will try to go back to original

EDIT: No GO!! Resque mode appears but no network! no ipadress.

I ve tried ripper's updated ko and boot files and the boot time is a bit faster now!!!

1080p is not included in the av settings menu (obviously because it s not a part of e2)

I don't know if it will ever be added but I don t really care...

Last thing you can do is to remove carefully DOM from receiver and then boot, if this doesnt help then USB stick isnt problem, some problem on dhcp app<->your router and getting IP address.

@The_Rippe do u have any indea how will working now! still only show VFD geeko but never show Recove mode

Can't seem to get it running on the Premium Plus.

After changing bootup nothing happens VFD just stays black

Well please press menu button and not the HOME button.

So for all people which are confused, use MENU button on RCU. NOT HOME.

New AzBox HD Web Interface by DDamir

Please remove old interface directory and files located ( Webinterface ) located in :

Code:

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions

Use FTP and transfer this files and If asked for overwrite press Yes .

You should have new AzBox HD Interface after You reboot your receiver.

Added: RCU of Elite and Premium/+ .

Automaticall recognition of model, so if You are running E2 on Elite You will have Elite RCU, or Premium RCU according on which model You are running E2 .

Screenshots also work now , as there is new grab file provided

NOTE: There is no need to do manual uninstall of WebIF, as this is done automatically by provided IPKG file.

Then it's not the problem of USB stick(if you removed DOM), is there any chance you can borrow from someone (friend,colleague) some other router and try, really dont know why dhcp app<-> your router doesnt work. If this again happening to many of you then it left me to make some Update GUI app like in original FW over my FB driver, but again it will take time for this and stop me from working on driver ....

If your Router doesnt aktivate DHCP you have a chance to connect AZB vie Crossover Lan direct with your PC / Laptop.
You have to change Lan Settings to share the Connection.
Try it maybe...
