Everybody calm down, please !

I believe that this time The_Ripper, MickeySa and their friends are making very good progress on E2 and I'm sure that they will release their beta, soon. I really respect their great work. You can see my thanks in every messages they wrote till now. I'm thinking to make donations to support them as long as they continue to this project.

By the way, I'm also from Turkey and I'm not happy to see that this topic becomes a Turkish & English war. This is exactly an English forum, admins are right. But please consider that despite Kanber does not know English, he's contributing the community with his programming skills for 2 years. He's just a little angry after all the pressure on him. So please give him a little more space than the others that haven't do anything for the community and this board.

But again, I think the thing he pointed is just a printf error, a miswriting. I know him and I'm sure he'll apologize from The_Ripper, MickeySa and their friends after they release their first beta. No need to ban anybody. We are not a very crowded community, especially with programmers.

I'm waiting their first beta impatiently but I'll be in my holiday during next two weeks and may be I'll loose its release day ("D-Day" for the azbox community).

Again, PLEASE calm down. We should fight with Dreambox fanatics instead of each other to consume our testosterone...

Guys such as Kanbar Kav Telesat Buyukbang Morsor are all well respected Devs on the azbox scene and have produced sterling work. i can understand why Kanbar Kav's reaction as he is obviously feeling left out.. I do think the ripper and his m8's would benifit if they included all the top devs on the azbox scene in developement and testing of E2. That way all the top guys will be pulling in the same direction to produce a top top port of e2. two heads better than one approach

All this bickering is all about peacocks showing their feathers. Or a simple my dads bigger than yours type spat by kanber. :chillpill:

And other bickering about language. Yes we can google translate your turkish,spanish russian etc posts however when joining this forum you agreeded to the terms and rules of the forum and its english speeking. Please respect that.

It might be worth while for Admin to create a foreign language section so our proportion of non English speaking (first language) Fellow pimps and converse in their mother tounge bu this is down to admin to decide. again please respect the rules .

what The_Riper is doing is fantastic work, give this guys some time
or if you can do beter then make you,r own software, otherwise wait til some one do it for you, do you know how many legal things one has to take care in making a software, some may thing that this guys do not release the software to make noice, well think again as there is so many things to Program and so many things to take care and non the list some law that all must take care.

I have been a lucky bastard and have tested the software , but i keep quite and stay and wait for the nest step as you guys do, the last news is that we all will be very please with the work this guys are doing on Enigma2.
No i have no contact with the Team, but some one i know do have

As an azbox user from the other side of the pond,I offer myself to test E2 in this box with the sats over the American continent.
The reason for this is we spent years submitting bugs reports and E2 fixes to the image makers,some of them are already in use and we wouldn't like to miss them.
As a first thing,cvs image cannot scan certain American sats unless some scan timeouts are extended,which people from open-pli and gemini were kind enough to introduce in their images.
Also,some images are only made for America use,regarding scan and EIT/EPG,which also requires some special code.

So,I'm asking:
The_Ripper
Is there a way I can beta test for you guys?
I can also help with snippets of code for decompressing/decrypting the EPG,if necessary (eit/epg is compressed using huffman algo),logs,mores stuff.
I was one of many that tried to help a bit with cwfinder betas at dvbn some years ago,my intention is purely related to get the project working better for everyone.
Let me know by PM,if you decide to.

But this time will be safe beta, so you can back safely to official firmware without any doubt or fear that Your receiver will be bricked, as the_ripper integrated RESCUE MODE, and You will need only to use Flash memory stick with loaded official firmware ( patch.bin ) and AzUP Application developed by telesat to load official firmware.

Only media-player is gonna be missing in this release?
All the rest should work? Even if with some bugs or green-screens.

As I got new informations about Media Player, a lot of things is fixed, so also in final beta release also that will be included, as far as I am testing this release, it is really stable and there is no problem with stabillity . Well, You can expect crash on things which are not implemented in current drivers, like You want to run AudioSync plugin, e2 will crash and immediately will reboot, but those things are just small to fix the paths which are different on azbox than on dreambox....

To stop all blabbering around , we will release new image and what works it works, you can test it if you want or not, start making some to do list, because many path that E2 use as source information /proc/stb/XXX.... is not complete yet in my driver and other stuff

I will try to finish audio/video integration from tuner to Sigma HW decoding. But more important is that kernel has ramdisk rootfs and with usb stick booting will stop and it will exit in rescue shell with working telnet/ftp and it's much safer/easy to back to original FW then before

For now only CX24116 tuner driver is included and working!
So guys pls stay tuned ...
