I have to agree with buyukbang i dont bother with HA or any scripts because i believe they cause more problems than they are worth.
I havent had a crash or for a couple of months - pretty much since I made my own channel list instead of using lists uploaded by others - no more error has occured reboot messages.
network speed for transferring large files and lack of euroepg ( just leak the original working epg ffs) are the only problems for me with latest firmware.
stability is good, zapping is good, good multicas support with updates every few days, multicas cccam client is good, mkv sync is good.
If all is ok for you guys, then why bother us in the forum, you all know that you won't find any new plugins or skins.
updates are available at azupd. go and wait there, scroll down to the bottom.
all those that have problems are letting us know that we are not alone. and maybe someone will help us.
also in windows and linux people enter the bugs, for someone to see and fix.
If you enjoy the box then go watch TV.
we are not nagging, we just want the azbox team to check these bugs, and fix it.
believe me that I do not want to make a bad name for azbox, It will lower my chances to sell it.
but to make all blue? don't make a joke, it's making us laugh, it sounds like you guys are making a benefit from AzBox.
At first remember that if we speak about linux we speak about the kernel.All other are GNU software.And yes in linux there are bugs but they are fixed and really very soon.And also you get linux for free.You dont pay it.So you take it or leave it.
Opposite winblows they have loadssssssssssssssss of bugs and you pay for them.And you pay them with your hard earned euros and you dont expect to get such a buggy software from a closed team .
Linux and gnu software is written by thousands of people who are not paid for it.
So when i was going to buy azbug i read that it was linux based.How fault i was..............
Its more closed source than even winblows.And i dislike it the same level i dislike winblows.
i can write pages on this topic but i said before that i will not write again on this thread but i should clear some things
Can't believe my eyes .... When I'm a normal user without problems i've got to shut up and watch telly ? Please, i know it's not a dreambox, if i wanted one i go buy one or i'll buy a Vu. I know it's not a dreambox and it does what i want. I've got no problems with the box so i don't understand the naggers. Just naggin'about the naggin. Please go to the Vu or DM section .....

HA is on ( Premium plus )
Multicas works good and stable ( connecting to a CCcam 2.14 server )
Recording works
Multimedia could do some better but for the most it's OK for me.
Stable as a rock no problems

@buyukbang
At first let me thank you for your precious effort helping the Azbox community, overcoming problems that should be solved by OpenSat.
Great work!
It seems that you don't experience any problem with your Azbox when using IPTV channels, right?
Let me put some questions, so that we can try to understand where is the problem...
In fact I observe the hang ups in my Elite with the latest firmware, whenever I have the IPTV channels loaded.
Sometimes the hang ups are observed after sleep mode, sometimes even when I'm watching sat tv. Sometimes I can't even access the Settings menu...
My questions:
1- Which one of the Azbox models you have? Elite? Premium? Pemimum+?
2- Do you have permanently loaded the IPTV channels? Or usually you haven't this list loaded in your box?
3- Have you http_streams permanently in DISK2, right?
4- How many sats and sat channels you have loaded in your box? and how many IPTV channels?
I have 30 sats and almost 7.000 sat channels loaded in my box and very stable. The hang ups happen only when I load an IPTV list.
I believe that if you are able to reproduce the hang ups in your system, most probably you will find a way to overcome them, before OpenSat solve the problem :-)
Thanks again for your great work.
leave them alone, they are opensat workers.
I called the seller in germany, told him my problems, and he said that he knows about these issus, from other buyers, he told me that the price of the reciever has gone down from 299 euro to 279 euro.
he said that if you buy a fiat, dont expect it to drive like a volvo.
you know what He is right I didnt buy a volvo.
If I remember correctly, the file http_streams should only be located in DISK2 during one boot-up, after that it should be removed, as the channels are now part of your channel list.
More people encountered IPTV problems when they didn't remove the file after initial load.
@fcis7000e+
I'm using the file http_streams that I posted this forum. It contains 200 IPTV channels. I've 5 sats and 3200 sat channels. I'm using Premium. Whant do you mean by hanging, does the box need a reboot, no remote controller response?
@naveh,
I didn't understand, did you point me with "opensat workers" ? If you meant that, I'm not a worker or reseller of dummy Opensat and its anti-customer boss. They didn't even help me and deleted lots of my posts in their forum. You can find my messages without a proper official response in the official forum. As I said before, I hate them all.
Beeing happy with the box or not agreeing with you means someone being opensat worker?

I agree; Load http_streams to DISK2, reboot, go to IPTV all channels should be loaded, delete http_streams from DISK2, reboot, now everything should work fine.
I also had problems with IPTV before I did this, now I only have problems with LAG in the "transmission", but even if I'm on 100mbit inet LAGS does happen, can be problem with the server...
If you own a SH4 box like IPBox and Incubus it has now CCcam server capacity.
AZBox was very promising at the beginning but it is now time to sell the box.
Linux can be closed source (look at the Humax iCord for instance, dead by now I am afraid, it had a Mips processor and everything else, they even tried bringing it to life again in publishing some source code but is there anyone talking about it anymore ?)
Support only platforms which are truly open source like the SH4 open Duckbox or the Tuxbox project.
Even Coolstream HD is promising for Neutrino fans.
There is a lot more competition out today and there are cheaper alternatives to Dreamboxes.
