Are we saying this new enigma2 firmware not work with 2 tuners?

I have Premium Plus, so was planning on installing 2nd tuner in near future.

From what I can gather there is a hardware problem with the elite and premium that will not allow them to do twin tuner recording (watching 1 channel and recording another at the same time). This I believe is resolved in the Premium+ so you should be ok.

Elite and Premium will work just as Combo, which is the same way as it works now with the original fw.

This hybrid firmware will not change the fact that Elite and Premium works as combo and Premium+ as a twin tuner.

What I really would like to know is if this hybrid fw changed the USB and LAN drivers so we can have full speed...

Thank´s for the answers. I ´ve read the original thread in azbox.de and that we already knew, premium and elite don´t have twin tuner, that´s only possible with premium plus. I thought that the new hybrid firmware to come would only work on premium plus, I was mislead by google translator...

That it is not possible to use an elite of normal premium as twin tuner. As the sigma chip needs a second hardware demuxer. Although according to their do***entation demuxing can also be done in software.

Well I agree with you, also if the full-ts can be had then it should be possible (no PiP though, but watching/recording)...

This seems to be based on a comment from kanber_kav last week. Where he said that he had directfb running but only on scart. This is because the azbox uses a different HDMI chip (as i believe) and this needs to be initialized first.

The comment from kanber_kav was copied to the spanish forums only today.

As the team has help from Opensat I am quite confident that the release will have hdmi support.

As far as I get all info - there will be no e2 this release. Just ordinary opensat fw!!!! I hope its linked to a new graphic library with better acceleration!

"Ordinary" is the word - maybe they remove the hardware accelerator and add some other gizmo instead of fixing the PVR modules (x2).
