I also think it is could be a foolsday yoke.
because i think if there was a team working on enigma2 for azbox
we have to know it allready because information is going fast on the internet.
i hope not that it is a foolsday yoke.
we have to wait.
I think this is for real! I have also been reading the nabilosat forum and today a few more nabilosat members confirm that i'ts coming![]()
Azbox only advantage is multimedia part of the sigma chip, otherwise this sigma chip has only 300Mhz MIPS CPU (same as DM800) so you cant say it has the best hardware. In SAT world CPU speed is important and not multimedia part of the chip. CPU operates with cams, zapping, menus etc.
And Sigma chips (old ones) are known for being slow (slow menus, slow response).
Maybe E2 will be better in speed, who knows![]()

And also has better upscaling for those still watching SD but with new LCD HD TV sets. HD quality is way better coz of those mm capabilities and for me this is what counts. 1080p is a big plus for Azbox for people who do care most for playing those files. The rest can be resolved... Setup a linux system with cccam and u r done.![]()
Did anyone heard or seen before the threads talking about picture quality on E2....? I've seen before some threads saying that e2 sw or platform effects picture quality & it is less sharp on both sd & hd channels when we have e2 on the box.
In other words, if we have soon e2 on az... will this effect negatively the pic quality?
Experts please advise about that issue.:respect-023:
I can say from experience with Kathrein receivers (ufs910) that the picture quality with E2 images is inferior to the official image.
This is because (as I understand it) that the video drivers have been modified for the Kathrein processor to work with E2, where as the official image drivers were designed originally with the box.
I think I posted this before but this thread is soooo long now.
Despite the fact that I own three dreamboxes including an 8000 I really do hope that the Azbox can be made usable with E2, however if other receivers that E2 has been adapted to run on are anything to go by, it may be a very long time before all the problems are overcome.
whether there really is E2, anger, bad, very bad, very slow and heavy, only need to see a 800HD to verify that an emulation will always be worse.
to hell with the azbox with OPENSAT and sigma, junk
are in a coma, and soon will be disconnected from a better life.
As always this kind .. Always
Who asked you opinion, you stick to your damn VU +

terrorman, yes, you're not satisfied with your azbox, and u use a enigma 2 - azbox hd thread to tell us this?
....
raskino saiid
dvb Api are ready.
:respect-067:
Carp95, where? :S it was already said it wont be available for the few next days... it's coders private cvs..
hmmm...believe it when i see it flashed on my box!
If E2 is true, then the Az has the potential to be a very very good box! I'd love to get my Az back out and have a play with E2! Just hope it performs well! (if true)
Would have thought someone would have leaked a screenshot if it is due for release so soon though...
Say it again then:
You all talk about coders ( wich nobody knows, even yourself admitted you don't know anything about coding ).
Only one I trust and knows something about coding in this topic is Ripper himself, so far he only said dvb-api isn't ready so:
No dvb-api No E2 still a april fools joke ( and I'am not laughing @ all )
@PieFacE
E2 is not a miracle and could have bad performance on Sigma ( just see the port for st71xx )
