No i dont use router. Mine Azbox is directly conected with PC, with crossover lan cable. i use dhcp on PC.

I heard that if I feed the communitary lnb I could burn my tuner...

PD: I had to activate dhcp in my router to get ip, didn't read that in the .txt

sattommy in azbox hd enigma2 subtitle option appears pressing "aux" in azbox hd remote
so we can chose subtitles. check it out please.
but no .srt is listed.

Your DHCP software working correctly with other PC/notebook ?

Maybe as an alternative solution try to press OK or Menu button during the Resque mode, it also helps sometimes

You mean you have DHCP service running on the PC? Are you sure it's running fine - have you tested before it's running fine (with official firmware or other device)?

No with oficial firmware dhcp service didnt work, because I always need to setup network and IP manually.

Do you have any proposition for this situation.

All problem was in my dhcp service configuration.

I have 4 lnb's.

I have the configuration: A)Hotbird , B)Astra19.2 , C)Astra28.2 , D)HellasSat39.

I make an automatic full scan but it can receive nothing from Astra19.2 ,no problem with the others satellites.

With firmware 1.0.27 it could find the 19.2 channels but it wouldn't show anything (black screen)

With 1.0.28 no channels after scanning at 19.2 at all.

Is there a way, how to mount smb? I tried

But got error, that the path was not found. Any advice?

i tried to add .srt with mkv ****** but no luck :S
i press AUX and subtitles appear to chose.
but after i press ok they appear (running)
but nothing happens/shows.

I have always found one of the biggest drawbacks in the original FW to be the fact that it limits the machine almost to single-tasking.

Even my old Samsung HD recorder was able to record a programme while at the same time I watch another prevoiusly recorded. AZBOX with the original FW asks me to decide "watch or record?".

How about the situation in E2?

installed it finally. Looks pretty good.

The only problem (even for this stage) has been already menitioned... no audio. In my case almost 80% of channels...

But very good work!!!!

BTW: How can I set HDMI as video output...?

I know with my old Dreambox 600, I can record and watch a recorded program at the same time ,with no dropouts. It would be great if we can do the same with the AZBox

Exactly what you say hfmls. This is not a question of using two tuners at the same time (I know this doesn't work with Premium).

The question I posted was if it is possible to record a programme, at the same using the mediaplayer for playing back something else. This shouldn't be a hardware limitation problem, but a problem of "which task uses how many system resources".

What drove me to this question were the numbers you posted as to the data throughput. It seems there is a lot of power hidden in the machine.

Unfortunately I cannot experiment with my own machine to find out, as this is the only receiver we have in the family, and accidentallly zeroing the box would lead to a lot of hassle :woohoo-022:
