    Hi,
Yep, looks like a good basic HD receiver.
Perhaps I will try it also

    Icon14 435 Euros

435 Euros is nothing LIKE £500 mate - think you exaggerate - more like £340!

thats cheap, i think your dreaming mate, where did you get the price from?

So its cheaper that the Dreambox DM7025+, there 419 pound, if its 340 pound thats a a bargain.

Think there might be crossed wires here.

The 800 will around the £340 mark and the the 8000 will be anything in or around £500 plus mark.

It will be a bit like the db600 and the db7025.

The main difference is number of tuners, then there is the card slots, I have also heard that the 8000 will come with a dvd/cd player.

I think the price is going to be 199 pound which is a bargain for a hd reciever, it also as hdmi, which is a bit of a bonus.

I like the look of the dm8000, but it looks like i said earlier its going to be a bit pricey.

I have just moved my surround sound system up into the bedroom as my lcd only as DVI and im playing the sound through my optical cable from my PS3.

The picture is cracking and the sound is good, but if i bought either of the 2 dreamboxes i would have to get a new surround sound system for downstairs.

I think ill take a punt on the darkbox at the end of the month, ill let you all know how i get on.
