    Samsung DSR9500AY, menu mode

My aging Sammy has all of a sudden gone into menu mode and it is impossible to watch any channels. It is possible to move around the menus and to change settings and so forth but I can't exit the menu mode. The reset button on the PCB resets the receiver but it goes back to menu mode. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my Sammy or is it time to buy something new?

sounds like you've lost your channel list , try a rescan of the satellites you normally use or upload a ready made channel list
you can find some here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=60746

Thanks everybody who have answered my outcry for help. I have tested everything you have suggested. I even read almost everything at Papagen but it seems like Bod was right. I rescanned a satellite and when it found the channels it started working again!

Yeah, put a good list of channels [Cuorino or Edin] in and then redo it yourself - as you will have to rescan a number of transponders, because Sammy simply refuses to see the imported one sometimes...
