Question Is it possible ..C-T.. 2 ..TM....?

    Hi Guys..
Maybe somebody out there can answer this Q for me ..
Is it possible to Load S/W for a TM into a C-T with positive results..?
I have a Dead C-T 2000 and would like to know if this has been done..
If at all possible..to turn this Dead C-T 2000 into a TM..
In future using there S/W updates and Softcams..?
    Any comments gladly accepted..!Thanks
    Cheers
    Andrew

Exclamation Using TM S/W in CT Box......

    OK Guys...
I have done some researching into this Q and the answer is 100%... NO.
    You cannot load a Technomate S/W into a Clarke-Tech Box/Rec..
All attempts to do this will result in KILLING your Box/Rec...
sorry to bring these Bad news..but before anyone tries it you should be aware of the Results.
    Cheers
    Andrew

Great post Andrew. Good to see someone discussing CTs! Pheww! I'm surprised to hear that the box gets killed as when I mistakenly tried to load (on my first day!) 2100 software instead of 2100plususb I got message 'incompatible stb'. Maybe earlier CTs aren't that clever. Or maybe TM software doesn't get rejected. What I can say is that TM softcams definitely work in my CT2100plususb.

Yes you can change TM to Clarke and back again with only minor changes in soft.I checked this on HD version. But remote controls may be different.

the patches and software dont inter change between the receivers
    i have the clarke-tech 5000HD cplus combo
and it has exactly the same spec as the tm 6900 super
and i tried the tm 6900 super patch with the null modem cable
and got the [incompatible stb] on the loader panel, with this model
there is a ctech5000c downgrade file to load if the box gets blocked
after a bad download, this is whats in the read me doc with the file
this is like doing a forced download on the technomate box

CTECH5000C_downgrade.stb" will works with both 5000 and 5000C.

    For example: load "CTECH5000C_downgrade.stb"
and then load the suitable correct software
As you may already know, when the receiver stays in " start up ",
you should use PC Tool CTECHUP 187 and RS232 serial cable.
At first, press the "Start" button on PC Tool CTECHUP 187 ,
and next, just power off and on the receiver, then downloading will be started.
and just to add the tm and the clarke-tech can use the same
softcams and channel lists i loaded my tm 6900 original chn list
on the clarke-tech to save a lot of moving and sorting the chns again

i tried the tm 6900 super patch with the null modem cable

The loader just checkes the id number of current model and the id of manufacture. The manufacture id must be changed. But remote controles from 6900 super combo and Clarke are different. You must change the id code in remote also. Cant say anything about another models.

if you can get a tm patch to load and work
on the clarke-tech the advantage would be the
tm patches are posted more often than the ct patches
as i said it did'nt work for me but i did'nt or know how
to change the ID before i tried

i also would like to know if it can be done. how to load technomate 6900 patches on the clarke-tech 5000 cplus, i have tried and the tm patch failed to load the loader said incompatable stb. it says in a earlier post you must change the id number of current model and the id of manufacture. The manufacture id must be changed. how do you do this,
the only reason is the tm gets faster updates than the clarke-tech

the clarke-tech 5000 HDcplus combo has the exact same features
as the tm 6900 super, and it's smaller and a far more stylish and
for me it's a great box that works first class and misses nothing
the one downside is the card reader is conax i would sooner have
the muliti card reader that the tm has it also has a 2 year warranty
but i'm very pleased i got this model and it works quicker with the
diablo cam and i cant fault the quality in any way
i had the original tm 6900 and that is first class but when upgrading
to a super receiver i went for the clarke-tech after seeing posts from
tm super users complaining about the blind search and the box freezing
and re-booting etc. but i'm sure technomate have or can and will sort there
software out to solve any glitches on this model

I'm pretty certain that "Technomate" whoever they are (not a UK registered company) and "Clarke Tech" are part of the same company - Hub-tech, so probably the same software developers

Benjamin, Ringstar, SkyX, CoolSat, Cooltec, Digiwave, Technomate, Clarke-Tech., Strong, Cobra, Masterbox and MAXplus are all Hub-Tech brands

this is from the clarke-tech 5000cplus info
The Clarke Tech receivers are made in the same factory as Technomate and have the same features but are German designed and come with
    a 2 year warranty.

I know some more clones: Dr.HD F16 and MaxDigital. Pathes from Clarke can be loaded to Dr.HD F16. Only ID must be changed. I think back to Clarke pathes from F16 will go.

I would advise not to try this out, this could brick your box. Get the latest patches for either the 6800 HD or 6800 HD Super :
    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=328
    and read the sticky's:
