How to Load Original 05 & Juliet 06

It is vital that with any image that you should change from the default password to one that only you know.

To do this we use a tool called TCC6 (Technomate Control Center) , or the newer TCC v7.1 from technomates website

Most of the images have a common username ‘root’

    The default password for the other images are generally as follows;

    Username = root

Password for Beta image = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)
Password for DS image = dsteam
    Password for juliet = technomate
    Password for UR5/6 = admin
Password for UKUR = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)
Password for EDG = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)

So to change the passwords we will need to first download TCC6 or better still TCC v7.1

Once downloaded extract to your PC and then run the program file.

    * it is important that your firewall is set that it doesn’t block this program***

    ********************************* ********************************* ****

There are 3 ways to load a 005 Original Image on a standard receiver
( do not use anything lower then 009 on a super )

    1.Auto Update
    2.MMC
    3.Serial

Auto Updater (With Control Center 6)

    1. Download the new Technomate Control Center 6 programer
    2. OpenTechnomateControlCenter 6
    3. Click on Update
    4. Enter the IP address of your receiver and click on Save
    5. Click on Auto Update
    6. Select the TM9100_AutoUpdater_005 image folder
    7. Wait until the download has finished
    8. The firmware will start to install in the receiver
    -----------------------------
    MMC (Memory Card)

    1. Copy all the files into a Memory Card
    2. Insert the Memory Card into the TM-9100
    3. Turn the AC Power Off/On and Wait for the download to finish
    4. When it says Completed, remove the Memory Card
    5. Turn the AC Power Off/On
    ---------------------------------------
    Serial

    Serial

    1. Turn the AC Power Off
    2. Hold the OK button on the front panel, and whilst still holding the OK Button, turn the AC Power On. A black screen (uboot) will appear.
    3. Open Technomate Control Center 3 and set up the COMPort.
    4. Click on File and then go to Files of Type and click on the Down arrow next to it. Select Image (.img). Select the Serial Image (noboot) and click on Open.
    5. Press the OK button on the front panel of the TM-9100 to start downloading. If it does not work, press the OK button again.
    6. When it says Done on the receiver and Download Completed on the PC, turn the AC Power Off/On.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    JULIET 06 IMAGE

REMEMBER ..you have to download the Original 005 image first, then download the Juliet 006 image

    1. Download the new Technomate Control Center 6 program
    2. OpenTechnomateControlCenter6
    3. Click on Update
    4. Enter the IP address and password (technomate) of your receiver and click on Save
    5. Click on Auto Update
    6. Select the TM9100_Juliet_006 folder
    7. Wait until the download has finished
    8. When it says Completed, turn the TM-9100 OFF/ON (from the AC Power)
    9. Do a Factory Reset

you have to do a Factory Reset after downloading the image

    note:

To download emulators, etc, download the URL file and copy to VAR > JULIET

You have to go to each section of the Blue Panel twice for the URL to be recognised, for example, go to Cams, exit and go back to Cams. The emus can now be downloaded.

Remember, after downloading keys, you have to reactivate the emu

    Done...
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I modified this from another source and placed it here coz us PIMPS need to be Pimping

    2) Compares to my Humax PVR which is pretty good.

    3) Fairly complex menu's.
There is a lot to master, but rewarding when you do.
Once set up its not too bad selecting channels.
You can have as many favourite lists as you like
Setting an advanced recording is a nightmare. Still to investigate an EPG plugin that might help?

tested this using the evocamd (2.14) emu

to change a key and edit the softcam file for a provider using the remote do the following

push the yellow button for plugins and select tuxbox commander
then scroll down to var push ok
scroll down to keys push ok
scroll down to softcam.key and push 4
scroll down to your required provider (ie d+ 4101)
depending on key to be changed select the correct line (key 00 or key 01)
    push ok
from here you can edit the keys ether using the numeric keypad or the up down scroll buttons
when finished push ok and then exit
    confirm changes
then exit tuxbox commander and save settings
    reboot your box

this guide is based on the juliet 006 image as this is the most stable full release at the moment.

depending on the image your using you will have to push what ever button calls up your plugins, from there everything else should be the same

You can set the 9100 to automatically select an English soundtrack if transmitted.

Open the Web interface (Start Firefox & type in your box's url, i.e. http://192.168.1.2)

    Click Config, Settings.

In the Audio Channel Priority box type in the language you want. Use # to seperate them. Click Save.

    So far I've got english#englisch#eng#dos

Can anyone think of any more that are used by broadcasters?

    English#Englisch#Tonoption 2#Original#orj#dos#ory#org#esl#qa a

    Icon14 firefox plugin

For all users of Firefox, if you download FireFTP you can then edit your box from within your browser. You have to point it to your usual editor, it means you can grab the latest update and install it without opening other apps.

Its below just unzip it onto your desktop then drag and drop it onto your firefox icon

found these guides on darkmans site

Alternatively if you are just wanting to update the D+ file then you can do it manually - a bit of a faff I know.

    On UR
    1. Hit Yellow Button
    2. Select TuxBox Cammander
    3. Navigate to /var/keys/softcam.key
    4. Then hit 4, this will put the file in edit mode.
    5. Scroll down to line with key 4101 [00] or [01] depending on the key number.
    6. Enter the new key from the Nagra Key section
    7. Hit Exit and when prompted save.

restart the cam or the receiver and hey presto.

    ********************************* *********

You can install the satan keys by mmc. I'll try to explain how,

Copy the file satan.tar.gz onto the memory card.

Put the memory card in the reciever.

Press the yellow button and goto Tuxbox commander.

Select the tmp directory on the left, on the right goto the mmc folder and select the file satan.tar.gz.

Press 5 this will copy the file into the tmp directory.

    Press exit then goto no.

Press the green button and goto addons manager.

    Press the yellow button.

Make sure the file satan.tar.gz is selected and press the green button to install.

    ********************************* ***************

or just ftp to tmp folder on receiver and install the satan.tar.gz file under manual install

    ********************************* **************

Or just install the satan updater

looks like this uses the 16 wire cable/header from an old onboard graphics pc

also looks like pin1 is on the right looking from the front as that is where the red stripe goes

anyone know the maximum allowed cable length for this one ?

    thanks

made mine about 30cm just long enough for the able to get from the box to my laptop.

since its using the parallel port i would expect you would be able to go 10m easy but have not tested this of course.

as you say ech, pin 1 is to the right (next to the card slot)

Someone on another forum used a printer cable and on the other end an IDE cable cut down so it only had 8*2 pins

    Reported to work fine

    TNT

there is a 26 pin header on an old parallel port onboard cable connector
( the ones that go to the backplane )

you could use one of those and use hot glue to block off the last 5 pairs of 17 to 26 , and it just fits onto the jtag header on the tm9100

the 15 pin monitor one I am going to use had no pin 16 connected , so I have removed the locking header cap and stripped out the last 4 wires from 12 to 15 , and used one of them on pin 16 instead , so its on its own

hopefully I will never need to use this but its always worth having as I made my own for the samsung 9500 years ago , never used it and probably too long
( 20 pin header on that one so would be ideal for use on these headers if you block off the last 2 pairs using hot glue )

a floppy drive cable may also work , its worth checking anyway , just block off from pins 17 onwards with hot glue

    Memory for what?

Memory is unlimited as far as number of channels is concerned, just the same as my Dreambox 7000.
    I have 13,000 channels in my TM-9100.
