Hopefully Russia has some safety procedures, in place, similar to the USA, which had to be used for Nixon, and Trump, to stop any chance of a nuclear strike, when both were deemed to be dangerously unstable.

A little reminded to all to keep your political views to yourself, I am not going to close this thread as I feel this is something that could affect us all.

Just remember to keep within the rules please.

Well lets hope that the affect is limited to higher energy and wheat prices etc, unfortunately I can't see this ending well as if Putin does not get his way it must surely result in the end of his power. The worry for me is what lengths he may go to save his skin. The only good news as far as I see it is that it does seem to have brought western countries together, I have been pleasantly surprised at the reaction from Europe.
I spend a while watching the rolling news then stick my head in the sand and watch you tube. I trust I haven't strayed into politics, as I do understand the reasons why the forum doesn't allow this.

His tactics so far have had limited results

So if these talks break down

Will he just send in the units & kill destroy flatten everything in their path?

Just waiting for 1 of those missiles to "accidentally" miss the Ukraine and hit Poland or Latvia, just so NATO are forced to get involved and Putin can show off his Nukes.

He has seriously lost the plot and someone in his inner circle needs to realise that pretty soon and take him out.

The sanctions were never going to worry Putin, he has more money than he knows what to do with, he could probably fund this whole invasion / war from his own pockets and IF he needs money he will go via China to get it, same with tech.

He's probably more worried about his own shadow than any sanctions the west can impose.

Putin and Hitler are just part of life’s gamblers excesses, they get away with murder for so long then they overplay their hand and their luck changes, this is when they are at their most dangerous.

In their desperation to get their way they will resort to doing anything no matter how suicidal there actions are, Putin occupying Ukraine by force and slaughter will just encourage him to grab more, Putin failing to take Ukraine will make him even more desperate and unpredictable if he is backed into a corner like a wild dog !

He will lash out with all he's got no matter what it costs to his own people and any others that get in his way, its going to be a lose / lose situation which ever way you look at it.

ruble Ł/$ exchange rate has gone nuts. Could be a chance to make decent profit if the Ruble ever recovers from this.

Screw the Ruble it more than deserves to not exist anymore , look at the price of Diesel/Petrol now ..look at the innocent people even tonight that Putin has ordered to Murder !!

Putin will either go the suicide route or there must be a shoot to kill bounty placed on his head much sooner than we all think
he has ordered the death of countless innocent people he must and will be stopped and executed Period !!
A public execution for Putin likely would still be of little comfort to most Ukraine's at this stage .
Over 13 miles of Tanks sitting ready to attack Kyiv , once Russia controls Ukraine through murder and mass destruction it'll be worthless to Russia the whole world is united against psycho Putin and every Russian person will live in suffering as they will be boycotted and isolated .
Putin needs to be killed very soon before he decides to put his nuclear finger on the button !!
