I think the internet becomes quieter during the warmer months as people tend to spend more time outside doing things.

Not much happening in the world of satellite

    Its peaked now

On line TV entertainment is the way broadcasters want to go as means huge savings

Sad to think those years back we saw BBC HD for the first time & though WOW

Now we are still seeing the likes of That's TV Gold showing **** poor quality programs from a VHS Video cassette

i watch no tv shows or movies via sat, all those are streamed or downloaded. Only use sat tv has now is for live events. Streaming live is ok but the delay bugs me, sure theres a small delay on sat to, but its still the default option for anything live. I just hope the broadcasters dont more delay so its in sync with there streaming services.

TBH apart from the novelty of seeing channels we are not to supposed to see

The viewing side doesnt bother me as all the channels across Europe show exactly the same stuff
    Albeit in different languages

Miss the days of Filmnet TV3 Bravo MTV (when it was a great music channel)

Sky as a provider could save a fortune by only broadcasting in HD on sat. Those with only SD TVs could be given refurbished HD STBs and use the AV or SCART output.

BBC has over 40 channels on 28.2E to transmit a handful of unique channels (for local news they could have a single channel that serially cycles the regions). And what is it with +1 channels, can't most STBs record.

    End of rant.
