looking for a new 18 inch actuator thin on the ground these days unless willing to pay through the nose
What's the problem with the one you have - could be an easy repair ?
I've kept mine going for years -- lost track over the number of times it's been apart - including the magnets falling off the motor and sticking to the rotor as well as making new bearings out of a hard plastic block .
i think reed switch but the motor has been dangling by the wires for some time i could have a look i suppose
i did indeed i now have 3 spare so i'll never have that issue again : )
i sent @ satwyn a pm message regarding actuator arms i agree fully they are getting more and more scarce over the years and a lot of places are jumping on the opportunity to fleece and scam people , hard to believe in this day and age big companies still continue sending out New Superjacks with dead Reed switches ...never would i recommend or use any company that would do something so stupid .!!

Even if it's dangling by it's wires - if the wires are still connected does it still count ?
If you have a v-box controller what happens if you press the "east" or "west" arrow keys?
Do you get an "Er" on the display?
Could be the reed switch or as in my case the magnets inside the motor had come unstuck and the motor wouldn't turn hence the error .
My dish is at ground level so easy to work on.

sound advice oscar ,
My dish is at ground level also and an "Er" on the v-box can indicate Reed Switch fault i had that many times myself ,
it can also mean bad connection @ cable most likely LNB Cable getting wet inside F Connector ,
the magnet i never had an issue with thankfully but even after i replaced my Reed switch the fault did not end there nope i am just not that fortunate , There was also sticking Relays inside my V-Box which had to be released i am certain it was a member of this forum that told me about this fault and how to release the stuck relays was not a big job at all but it was all thanks to the very , very intelligent members of this forum that got me going again i have not looked back since : )
