i do have a very rugged and robust polarmount here from my irte 1.2m prime focus dish, but im told it will not work with a offset dish unless its modified as in you would need to extend its declination for more tilt is this correct?.

im after a offset polarmount that is strong and robust and i could home make a plate adaptor to fit the back of the cm 1.8m
or if its possible to mod my irte prime focus polarmount to work on my cm 1.8m offset that would be ideal, maybe some one on here knows if its possible to mod it as in the declination part on the irte polarmount to suit the offset 1.8m

@ butchyboy found the photos of genuine cm polar mount , and both dishes next to each other .

The difference in size is only .6 but it looks hell of a lot more and its the thickness that makes up the weight on it .

i suppose theres no way of getting the dimensions of the original cm polarmount for the 1.8m offset dish cause could get one welded up.

That's shocking how much bigger the 1.8 M is, Never thought it would be that much difference.
I bought my Channel Master 1.2 in 1993 as I couldn't afford the extra for 1.8 at the time, after see the pictures of them together I'm glad I didn't get the 1.8 it would have been too big for my location.
