    New firmware info?

    Hi,
Currently running 2.4.65 firmware on my Hitechbox HB9000.
I noticed some new firmwares available:
    9000.bin -220-10-23
    ARTAN_2020.210.23.bin
    Hitechbox9000_OK2_1404222_2.2.97. ...
    ...
    Any info on these firmwares?
    Suitable for HB9000?
    Better than 2.4.65?
Any related to new MyTV VOD?
    Thanks

I tried the SUN1506A_IPBOX_UK_*****_1404122.. firmware on my HB9000 and this had the effect of converting it into an HB9900.

Having crashed the box trying one the of the Somsat firmwares, I restored it to an HB9000 using the HB9000 Recovery File.

Best to wait until you see a new bin file stating Hitechbox HB9000. and not put in random bins from the list.

blackdevil has stated, one will come out to suit the Hitechbox HB9000. I think best to be patient.

I am still using the Utube bin ( not in the firmware list now), which came out after the 2.4.65 firmware. The Utube bin corrected certain apps that were not working as they should, obviously Utube being one of them!

Fair enough, but I thought it was worth sharing the fact that the available firmware means you can convert from HB9000 to HB9900.

It looks as if finally there is some new firmware available:

    HitchBox_9000Youtube_03_02_2021

    Any info, please?

    I guess it fixes YouTube...

But is this the one supposed to have new features mentioned some time ago by blackdevil?

If so, what are the new/improved features?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Just to confirm that 2.4.81 has fixed all those issues.

    It is really faster.

Best of all, it kept my settings after the upgrade, so I did not have to reload my channel list, favourites, motor settings... it even kept my Startup Channel!

    Excellent job.

    Thanks.

Can confirm it has fixed all above and works fine on my HB9000, however I have one problem that is still a bugging my box, using both the old and new Utube which is the latest SW 2.4.81.
The problem is to do with both my USB in, when I plug in a memory stick the box reboots soon after plugging in, however if I remove the memory stick the box is okay again. This means I am not able to record on PVR, or download latest software on to memory stick.

I have tried both USB2 and USB3 and the same happens with both memory sticks, the strange thing is the old 65 software before the Utube software the rebooting never happened.

Just wondered if there is a reason for this?

I did a force _ grade but that did not fix the problem.

I can use the box, sadly not record any films or download files.

Would appreciate any idea's of help!

Hi Johnhenry, I had the same problem with my previous 65 s/w where my USB3 start crashing my Box every time I plug it in. When I put my brand new USB3 it worked fine. After reformatting the old USB3 which was crashing the Box it worked fine. That was last month with the old 65 s/w. It is still working fine with the new s/w 81. I don't know myself why it was crashing the Box and why I had to reformat the previous USB3 which was crashing the Box to make it to work by reformatting it. Regards

Where did you get H/T 9200 v 2.4.81 F/W from ? its not in the HT/Files/Firmware section, and its not in the HTTP download to box either, theres only 2 options to download there and the 9200 file won't load saying wrong bootloader.

Thanks Jeetley I take it you reformatted the USB3 memory stick on other device first, to make it work okay?
I am asking, because as you know you don't get time to reformat on the box, because it reboots before you can go through to that procedure.

Tonyo if you read thread #6 by tinto de verano re HitchBox_9000Youtube_03_02_2021 , and the thread #7 by blackdevil SW 2.4.81 it explains everything you need to know about the new software.

Brilliant Jeetley, regarding your information in thread #10 with reference to the USB memory stick rebooting problem.

This evening I saved the files which were on the USB3 memory stick causing the rebooting problem, these files I put to my main computer.

I then reformatted the USB3 memory stick again using my desktop PC as you had advised, and then fitted it back into my HB9000.
The problem was solved and the HB9000 was stable with no rebooting.

After testing the memory stick all I needed to do was put back the PVR files I wish to keep which were backed up on my main PC.

Now my HB9000 is working okay, with the new Utube software SW 2.4.81, thanks to blackdevil, and thanks to you Jeetley I can now record and and retain the latest software file on my USB memory stick.

I have had quite a day with tech. items, as my Desk Top PC running Windows 10 Pro, this afternoon decided to update from the October 2020 Windows 10 to the 2004 version. Have to say that took quite a time around 4 hours, thankfully all went okay without a hitch.
So all in all it has been quite a successful day all around.

    Thanks again blackdevil and Jeetley.

    Hi,

    Using 2.4.81.

Anyone having issues with Restore settings from USB?

(That is the last option in the Backup & Restore in USB Menu)

I have tried 3 USB drives, and I am always getting an ERROR message.

I have reformatted one USB drive, only addded one cfg file... error...

    Thanks.

    Replying to myself here:

    Solution found.

The problem was not the USB drive (3 different ones) nor the USB HD.

It turns out that the ERROR was caused by having all 16 Readers in Net Client full with previous data.

All 16 Readers contained previous info, so apparently they could not be overwritten from USB.

Following advice I went into each of the 1 to 6 first Readers, deleted the existing info... tried the USB... and the info was restored/updated.

    Everything working fine now.

    Thanks for the support.
