I know its life in 2020
But I hate all this online banking call centres etc
Trying to speak to a person means you wait ages in a queue
Finding a near branch or one that is open is a rarity these days
Im sure it contributes to increase in debt as you cant see what your spending
Rant over!
Most big companies now have an overeliance with online banking and transactions of all sorts, cutting down massively on service staff saves them lots of dosh such as wages holiday pay training and pensions etc.
The service then becomes very poor with long and drawn out enquiries and a lot of fraud and hacking problems, it seems that business is prepared to tolerate this if it gets the numbers of staff down to a minimum possible, they are not concerned about quality of service as long as a non discerning public put up with it and still pay up.

I'm not surprised, they have been trying to fix my online access for about 6 weeks now with zero success. Ringing them is a joke, with long long waits on hold, and social media response is absolutely dire.
Anyone who has barclays app on their phone can access live chat or call back straight away.
Never had an issue with it.
