Try a different USB stick, the older ones usually work best, first format it to FAT32, using your PC, then ensure you load the correct image.
Which image are you trying to load?

You'll need to use a USB stick that is no larger than 8GB, formatted to FAT32.

Make sure the image file you have is for the Vu+ Zero4K and not the Vu+ Zero.

Copy the vuplus folder to a USB stick.

You should now have one folder on the USB stick named vuplus.

    Power off the box.

Insert the USB stick into the back USB socket on the back of the box.

    Power on Box.

The white LED on the left front panel will fade in and out slowly, to indicate it's installing the image.

When the white LED starts blinking quickly, it means the install is complete.

Remove the USB from the back and power off and on the box.

The box will now boot the new image.

I have an old 2 gig usb stick that is perfect for flashing boxes and can definitely recommend using a small one as mentioned above, not 16gig or 32gig etc , format to fat32 as well

installation files are usually less than a tenth of a 2 gig stick

I have recently updated a solo2 , and a couple of Zgemma boxes using the same stick , it is my goto stick of choice

I have a 16GB Toshiba, that works fine.
The problem might be that most, newer, and larger, USB sticks might be USB 3.0, which although are supposed to be compatible, with older USB devices, sometimes experience problems.

Can confirm that this works perfectly on both Dreamboxes and VU+ boxes. It took me 4 tries with various usb tricks till, as said in above, an older 8GB correctly formatted did the trick and is now kept carefully for the occasional time one has to do this. Of course, 12 odd years ago one was flashing - [boxes I mean!!] - very often but more recently i tend to stay with the image that works well and can be just occasionally updated. Make sure though, that even with this you have stuff updated - redoing the bouquets is such a waste of time if you forget!! Cheers guys - Brain
