One of the now, few, survivors of that amazing team from the 1966 World Cup - never forgot watching that unforgettable win - the whole country felt so involved, never repeated balmy days of yesterday.
Martin of course actually scored in the final from a deflected Geoff Hurst shot at goal - and with that leapt into legendary status in his own right!
A true gent, R.I.P. Martin Peters.
One of my schoolboy heroes. So sad how it ended for him. RIP Martin.
Yes he was a brilliant passer of the ball and such a down to earth character, he is one of the true football folk hero's here in Norfolk. He played some 230 games for Norwich. We have just lost our dear old Norwich captain Duncan Forbes and for for team mate Martin Peters to follow so soon such a sad time for club and country.
