    Oscam is an Emulator.
I'm not sure it will be that easy, but you might as well load Oscam and try it.
You can start by reading the guides, provided by Lee, from Goldwafers:
    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...ting-up-Vu-Duo

You can find a suitable Oscam file here:
    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...s-(2013)-(2014)

Try a version posted bt A. You can load a few versions.

To install them you will need Filezilla, or other FTP program, you can use the one provided in the VU+ Control Centre:
    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...ol-Centre-V0-8

To log in you will need your receivers IP address, you can find this in the receivers Menu, something like Setup, System, Network, LAN, Adapter Settings, it should look like 192.168.1.2.
Providing you have your VU+ connected to your router.
Once logged in click on the FTP tab.
On the left hand side you should see your PC's files, on the right your VU+ files.
Just navigate to the Oscam.ipk file, you have just downloaded, and drag, and drop them, into the tmp folder, on the lower right.
Once done go to your receiver, press the green button, followed by the yellow button, on your remote, and select the Manually install ipk files.
Select the Oscam file and press OK.
Wait for the receiver to finish loading it, and probably re-boot, then press your Blue Button, followed by the < > arrow button, and select Oscam.

    @Nozahic,
have you mangaged to install Oscam yet?
Have you found out if your Fransat card will work, in any other receiver, apart from the official Fransat receiver?

I have finally found a post, regarding Frasat, from TJExcalibur:
"The Octagon SF4008 does support CI+ cam with the HD Freaks image. I use it for her indoors to watch Fransat with a CI+ module and Fransat card."

Which version of Fransat card do you have, 3tv?
Just read, on another forum, that they're turning off v4.0, and only using v5, and v6.

v6, hopefully it will keep on working after v4 support stops.

Analoguesat, on another forum, has provided a link, where you can check your cards number, to find out if it will be affected:
    Code:

If you press the Blue button, on your remote, you should get a list of installed cams.
Have you tried the card both ways? Chip facing up, chip facing down?
Please post a picture of the cams menu, which should read the card details.

you will need to edit your oscam server file, I would recommend first you add a more recent oscam if its been on there for a while. You will need to ftp into your reciever

Your receiver states that you have 4 cams installed.
One should be the CI, Common Interface, the slot for a CAM, Conditional Access Module, but check the other 3, by bringing up the Cam menu, pressing the Blue Button, and then use the < > keys to highlight one of the cams and press the OK button to select it.
