I am still trying and I keep getting telnet connected, ftp disconnected.
I am now really frustrated as I have been trying since 4 hours.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

I have now changed password via telnet but still will not connect to ftp.
    This is getting desperate now!

Enter root as user and dreambox as Password
work for me on Solo 4K ( also my Dreambox Password Work,it´s not Dreambox thats for sure )
You can set this Parameters in the .ini File also ( use Notpad++ for this )
the File .ini can be found in the DCC Folder were the .exe is

Never needed a username, or password, in DCC, Dreambox Control Centre, v E2 150:
    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...f-DCC-E2-v1-50

I let DCC locate my VU+ IP address, using the suchen, then Suche, options.
If you're only using the FTP why not download FileZilla, it's free, or use the VU+ Control Centre, provided by Lee:

    @ Mickha
I have tried V C Centre by Lee version 0.8 but also does not work.
It will not connect and tells me : Access violation at address 0052b206 in module VUCC exe. Read off address 00000000

What Operating System are you using, on your PC?
Did the DCC find your Vu plus, on the network, when you used the search option?
Have you checked your VU+ is connected, to the internet, by going into the menu and trying to download any plug ins?
What image do you have loaded, on your VU+?

    @ Mickha
I have tried on windows 10 (pc) and vista on laptop.
I managed to use telnet only on vista.
DCC did always find my VU solo SE when I did the search option.
Vu is I think connected as IP address does change every now and then. (I will try to download a plug in.
    I am on latest BH.
    thanks for you attention

After the DCC finds your VU+ Solo SE IP, then try entering this in the Dreambox box, click on the Switch/Hub option, then press re-connect, it should turn green, showing you are connected.

fix the ip address in the setup screen on the VU , using a fixed LAN ip address that your router will reserve , so pick an ip address away from any of your current ones in use

so maybe 50 or 80 etc for example (somewhere in the middle of the range as you have over 200 available locally)

    @mickha

Have tried your latest suggestion but the line going down to dreambox stays red, the rest is all green.
I do believe that vu box is connected otherwise there will not be an ip address on it and i do manage to watch you tube on it. (?)

in DCC E2 V1.50 ensure the following

    tick ROUTER
    tick "image in the flash"
    tick "FTP keep alive"
    Language - ENGLISH

make sure "this computer" has the correct LAN ip address

    Name root (lower case)
Passw is the one you amended it to in telnet

the router ip address will be whatever your router is (which you should have set manually in the BH menu)

the green line should go to pc and to router , across the top of the T

once you have the Vu connected green line will go down and it says dreambox , the correct fixed ip address will show up too

just tried all this in win10 to my vu and all ok

    All sorted out now.
Had to reflash image and all is working fine.
I think that some corruption had materialised when I updated software to 3.0.2.F
thanks to all that help with this matter.
