    BISS in OSCAM possible?

    I used Gbox for biss on my dreambox which worked perfectly but as it looks like im stuck with oscam on the solo 4k is there anyway to get biss decoding working with it. searching seams to always end up needing to use oscam ymod.

    Standard OScam will do BISS on the old VU boxes - Duo2, Duo, Uno etc.

    But I can't advise if the same goes for the solo 4k

    It's built with the same source code on both types of processors - so oscam works the exact same on both box types. So arm (solo 4k) is the same as the mips (other vu boxes) version - only the way it was compiled is different.

    Yes Biss works in oscam on Solo4k (and all mips boxes too).

    And dont forget Oscam is perfectly capable of connecting to Gbox shares too.

    created a constant.cw file with the following line:

    2600:000000:2013:0316:1FFF::AA xx xx xx xx xx xx DD AA xx xx xx xx xx xx DD #fox_sports_Europe

    added to oscam.server -

    [reader]
    label = constant.cw
    protocol = constcw
    device = /etc/tuxbox/config/constant.cw
    caid = 2600
    group = 1

    in the oscam live log I get this:

    Try a different channel to test if it is a keys problem. The MUTV channel on 10°e has been working on the same keys for a least over a year, so should not be hard to find.

    The fisrt past for MUTV is 2600:000000:0001:03e9:1FFF::20 ...........

    The only other thing I can see is that you don't need caid = 2600 in the reader - but I can't see it would stop it working.

    Last, the obvious, check your constant.cw file is in the referenced directory and restart OScam (sorry these are obvious - but said it anyway)

    Last thought, with OSCam I have found it helps going through each file using the webif - change something in the file, then use the SAVE command.

    Are you tuning the Fox Sport channel on 13°E or 7°E? Only the one on 7°E is in BISS. The one on 13°E is encrypted in irdeto, which looks like the case in your log.

    Also for 7°E check you have the correct SID and PMT in your key entry.

    yeah 7e sid 2013 pmt 0316

    added nascar to the constant.cw and that's clearing.

    I stopped using constant.cw via cccam years ago due to the duplicate sids failing, as well as some feeds refusing to open even with correct keys. Gbox 80x never failed though.
    If anyone can open fox sports on 7e via oscam id love to know how.

    Then why is your log showing "CAID: 0664" ? I cannot check ATM but if you are certain you are on 7°E then perhaps they have stopped using BISS and are now only using irdeto? According to Lyngsat the SID for the BISS channel should be 0001.

    My entry in const.cw file - not recently tested.

    @digicon thank you

    i did download that one, but am unsure which of the options within the rar to use

    the only one marked oscam has ymod in brackets, is this one ok to use then ?

    in that folder i see 2 files oscam.keys and oscam.constant.cw

    do i place them both in var/tuxbox/config ?? or do they need re naming ?

    Just use the constant.cw file from the download reference in the post above.

    Then you have to follow all the steps mentioned in 3tv's posts - it's all in there.
