PowerVu Compatible Receivers

Please post here if you know of a receiver that "Definitely" works with PowerVu or if you yourself have got it working with your receiver..

I'll go ahead and start with the receivers i know or have tested...Please bear in mind just because a certain receiver will work it does not mean the performance will be spot on....As Echelon has said many times for best performance you need a vu solo2 or vu duo2 type of box to be flawless...

So far...

Vu+ solo2 with openpli - Tested and working by me..4 west only at the moment..something to do with des or something,other sats will show oscam clearing but you will have black screen..

I believe DM800HD & DM800SE both work also..>Dreambox works all them sats without stream relay

I know of some more and i will post shortly..please post your results..

Working too at DB500HD(org) today Openpli4-fresh instaled(no outher emus), same cfgs.
1W working perfect, AFN 9e - sd working well, hdsports- some breaks

tested on VU DUO 1 running openBH in the flash and OpenMultiboot running on rear usb stick using ext4 format

OpenPLI4 jan 2016 installed in openmultiboot

oscam installed from the openpli server

copied over OSCam r11209 bin file provided by doodz into var/bin and chmod 755
(I renamed the old one by adding OLD to its name)

obtained the latest INFORMED files and ftp the SoftCam.Key file to the oscam config folder

in openPLI4 the path is

/etc/tuxbox/config/oscam/

other images will differ from that patch, as can the bin files like in openvix

I sorted out the config files too whilst in there

installed catseye motorised list using dreamset with e2 v4 http reload set

logged into the webif using the box ip address and port number

then went into the oscam config - stream relay and changed it to mode 0 (disabled)

also had to follow this info for section 2 as well

so 2 changes made in the patched oscam webif

then tested channels on 4w and the oscam webif showed EMU (emulator) in use , meaning its using the patched oscam with the SoftCam.Key file and those amended oscam settings

Hi all I have been trying to get powervu working on my ZgemmaH2S. (oscam emu 11391 ) I seem to have gone round in circles with no luck 4.8e and AFN 9e. However BISS works and Arena Sport on 39e (Tandberg) . Strangely Agencia EFE 30w (powervu) does open (shows a test card). I can't understand, surely powervu will either work or it wont work? Thanks in advance for any ideas

Works fine on VU Ultimo 4K with OpenPLi 6 without streaming if you use new drivers.

Until recently it only worked with streaming on this box.

Also fine on Vu+ Solo2. However, I believe you also need oscam.emu 11392.

Stream relay is not needed on any Vu+ boxes now, except for the Gen1 Solo, Duo, Uno and Ultimo

Works on Hi tec box 9000. Turn off EMU emm (set it to disable). This stop the keys for being overwritten with keys that don't work. SIS on 4.8 East works well. Also had 9 East working but have trees in the way so can not test (AFN).

Got a DVB sky USB on my core i5 PC with DVB Dream. Using PowerVU emu 2.3 and soft Cam also works with SIS on 4.8 East.

Yes. 2.3 still works for me. So if it isn't broke don't fix it. 2.8 any better. I have problems with trees in the summer, so a upgrade to powervu emu has not happened for a while. Any benefit from upgrading and can you attach the latest version of powervu emu. Glad to see if work well for you dog-man. Thanks for the update.

Apparently, OpenPLi refuse to use the new drivers that allow powervu without streaming because they come from a third party and in their words, can not be trusted.

If you use OpenPLi then you need to obtain and install the drivers yourself.
