check the IP address given by the homehub to the vu (its probably different than before)

try to "fix" this ip address into the router so its always allocated to the vu

ensure that this fixed IP address is now used to access the box in your pc programs

I always turn off DHCP in the vu and so allow it to only use a single fixed ip address unique to the box

ensure your pc firewall program allows access to the box and ip address

ensure you have changed the password from default on the vu, using telnet and the passwd command

ip address of vu is 192.168.0.76 same as before fixed ip. dhcp was already off. bt hub defaults to 192.168.1.254b already sorted to 192.168.0.254 as before. firewall same as before thats what made me think it was a setting in the hub

I thought that the 1 and the 254 would come into it somewhere, my non-BT router defaults to the more usual 192.168.0.1 but they do vary

if the router is 192.168.1.254 then ensure the vu is 192.168.1.76

if the router is 192.168.0.254 then ensure the vu is 192.168.0.76

Try the Dreambox Control Centre, it can find the IP addresses automatically.
You could also try changing the DUO 2 to automatic, for the IP address, reboot the VU+ Duo 2, and see what IP address is then provided.

Log into your Home Hub and see what devices it can see, I had a similar problem and it was the 192.168.0.22 had to be changed to 192.168.1.22 on the VU Duo
