New Box

Just looking for a bit of help.

I am trying to set a box up for a friend of mine who lives a few hundred miles away and i have set up a few of the Spiderbox 6000HD's but since doing the last one i have come on the forum today and realised there is a new firmware labelled HD6000 patch for MSCAM for new HD6000 receivers without IKS.

before i get him on his way following the excellent tuts on here, i just want to confirm how i can identify what version of box he has, it has just arrived in the box today and i assume it is brand new.

any advice before we attempt to setup would be much appreciated.

I can't see nothing regarding how I can identify if he has a new version post July 15. I will assume he has but just to know if I can confirm by a product I'd or something like that.

There has been No Newer Spiderbox receivers issued, he has got the same spiderbox as you have, only his is from a later batch of the same receiver.

Aldo I was just trying to determine if he had the option of the free gift before I try alternative methods.
