    tm5402 hd m2

hi I have the tm5402 hd m2 receiver. if it is left switched on over night it seems to crash and I have to power it off and on again before it will work. I think it is a software problem and wondered
if anyone has the latest software update for it. I have had a look but carn't seem to find anything.

    This is the info I have s/w version 1.41p (jun 28 2014)

    h/w 1.00

    boot version 6.00

    thanks in advance

    Andrew

Plus, just a 'suggestion' mate, make sure you load the latest patch etc using the currently 'preferred' method, i.e. including Factory reset(s))!

I would loose all the pre-installed satellites and setting and then I would have to put them all back in wouldn't I

    Suggest as follows Andrew:-

    1) Back up current Channel List to USB - also make a note of current satellite/stb settings, e.g. latitude/longtitude, USALS(or Diseq), etc etc
    2) Factory Reset
    3) Load patch 142P
    4) Factory Reset
    5) Power box off/on at back with power toggle switch
    6) Reload Channel List from 1) above
    7) Suggest load latest TM Softcam (unless already loaded on previously whilst on old patch)
    8) Check all settings are back to 1) above
    9) Off you go!

Let us know how it goes Andrew please!

Softcam keys dont get deleted with factory reset ,
neither does any of your saved Biss keys or anything in 8281 menu
just channel list only that gets wiped with factory reset .

Don't understand why this would only happen at night unless it's connected with the Wake and Sleep modes in Time Settings . Check that these are switched to off.If they are set to off then try setting them to get around the problem but I would've thought that if this was a bug then a lot of people would be shouting.Cheers.

I did read,in another thread somewhere, about a similar problem, think it was on a TM 3/5.Instead of powering off then on,he just pressed the menu, epg or ok button.I can't remember and I can't find the thread!

hi marki I am having the same problem today I have noted your comments and will try what you say. If it continues it might need to be sent to technomate to look at.
