    TM-Nano feedback

Anyone got one or have any views on the receiver.

£130, open source Linux/enigma 2, reasonable processor speed.

Too good to be true or can anyone more experienced in this area than me see any major limitations.

(Ok I've got the bug, I've had the the Spiderbox 6000 2 months now but I want to play with a Linux box. Let's face it actually watching anything is secondary to playing around with the box and tweaking it).

    @heyho:-

Let me know how you get on please mate - I've been a bit like you with my TM5402HD M2 - often wondering whether to try the linux based avenue - although I suppose the whole cs 'systems' are under threat with all this pairing going on anyway?

If you're looking at going down the Linux route I'd personally recommend a Vu+ box over a TM any day of the week.

I have had a Nano for about 6 months and have to say I am delighted with it. Using the Vix image it does everything I need including timer recordings. I much prefer it to a DM800 clone which I had previously. Just to mention it doesn't have an lnb loop thru should you need to loop 2 boxes together but you cant expect everything considering the cheap price of the box.

Using a TM NANO with Enigma and TSMEDIA ...so disappointing

We all want to try things out and experiment to better ourselves or budget. But this box is trying my patience
It should come with a warning technical support sticker "we cant help you" attached to it.
Even the sales team cant support the fixes and has more bugs than last weeks delivery of crickets and meal worms
for our water dragons and geckos

The concept is good budget is good but the box itself is awful. Its a bit like asking your just passed her test daughter
to collect the Queen from the Ascot in her clapped out 1986 KA with 300k on the clock....enough ranting

    DISLIKES
Remote freezes box reset required (no its not the remote its a bug do not go there)
Favourite button NONE (pick a colour and forget at your peril)
Software updates.....( in abundance choose wrong one and look to the skies reflash required)
Addons....don't please don't watch your temper rise if you do want an example? Add itv player
oh yes watch emmasdaledingles for the misses she loves you all for minute as it freezes and
your moments glory gone before you switch off and on again as for bbc iplayer its a make believe
look what you could of won beta version
Oh im getting angry writing this as much as the seller wishes he had dug a hole to bury the mfrs
    sales rep in.
Wife......hates it "put me Blade back on" she screams "or that bloody Openbox "
Cams..... choose c or n but never both (yes you can convert but hell why should you)
Experimental box....hell no its a total disaster they had it right, tweaked it, c0cked it up and now have
don't fix what's not broken written all over there walls

    LIKES
TM1000 It worked, it swings me 1.2mtr dish, it never freezes, it finds satellites quicker, has no internet,
better pulser receiver, could be patched and reset without glitch freeze or throwing the remote around.
And better still you can keep it in the cupboard smiling and knowing it will out shine any TM NANO and
be like your favourite dog with a bone always come bouncing back in silver not high gloss black clone.

Keep smiling and find a receiver that works for you not you work for it to work for you to not work : )

If you really Like play ,try play right STB, forget about TM linux Nano or Giant and go to the real Linux House VU+ with full support from all TEAMS ..Solo or Duo for cheap...or Solo2 or Duo2 better one.
