I don`t think it can be done yet. Tried here and cannot get rid of it either, tried all buttons and combination of buttons I could think of and no luck.

needs to be done in software then ,would be nice if you could get it to time out after a few seconds on screen , its really annoying trying to watch something with sub titles and the bar covers the text
