    which file holds transponders list plz

    hi what file keeps the tranponders and sat info for the duo2 and how do you alter it thanks,when using dreamset the transponders are on the left but when you scan a sat it seems to go to another file to do the scan thanks

    the path to the sat files is the same when you use dreamset or dreamboxedit, once E2 is selected the path is shown in the setup under the profile you made

    /etc/enigma2/

    you will also see where the satellites.xml file is kept too

    /etc/tuxbox/

    it even gives you the path to the picons as well

    /media/usb/picons/

    thanks echelon,so when you scan a sat does it go to the /etc/tuxbox/satellites.xml file then,do the transponders alter in this file when you do a compare channels via the net in dreamset update thanks

    its just that when you scan a satellite it seems to get its transponder freqs from somewhere else apart from the transponder freqs in the channel list and some sats have a lot of unused freqs for transponders making scanning a sat long winded

    You could download a satellites.xml file yourself and edit out the transponders you don't want to be scan. Or;

    The two main sources _satellites-xml.org/ & _satellites-xml.eu/ . One of these has an option to exclude inactive transponders
