hellas & thor can be dodgy in poor weather but as ech suggests could be the arc/skew compensates as it tracks.

if you paid him to fit it and track the arc and its not correct, then no money should be necessary as he should do it again gratis (free of charge)

when he fitted the motorised dish he should have made sure the zero pointer was pointing true south, and that it tracked the arc correctly from 42e through south to 45w

if he didnt set your box up and you did it yourself, and if your box isnt set up correctly, then that is your fault and your problem, not his

yes ok he set everything up but the box I was using wouldn't stay on 1west when he did it, it kept on going back to 28.2 and he was here a long time. What setting do I need to look for to make sure I have it correct.

if you are using usals, make sure your actual latitude and longitude are correct for your location (your gps details)

try dishpointer website just to be sure, or check your satnav if you have one

maybe so, but if you are using USALS its important to make sure you have put your longitude and latitude into the location section of the menu for your usals (the defaults are set to 0.00 unless you have changed them , and if they are on zeros then they are wrong and causing your troubles)

so for say Cardigan you would use 03.9W for longitude and 52.4N for latitude

i am taking on board what you say i am about 30 miles or so from Cardigan. I am not trying to give to much detail as i don't think i am aloud to but i am in haverfordwest. I am using 4.6w long and 51.4N if that's any good. I will try to get it as accurate as i can.

    thanks for your as always
