Just been clearing out my cupboards and found a stack of goldwafer cards and my old dynamite programmer. Plugged it into pc and it still works even with the new CAS3 software. Will this thing be any use to me now i have a vu+duo2.

Yes mate - I still use it to update my two Dragon cams with the latest software - usually provided by our friend EMPB!!

Guess i wont bin it then. Have we moved on from goldwafer now? if so can you advise what blank cards to use now. I have only just come back to the sat scene and have lost touch with cards and cams. On Vu+duo2 can a softcam simulate a dragon cam?. Sorry for all the questions.

Sorry for delay Matty, but I program a Dragon Loader card for my use with the Dragon cam, then transfer it via that on to my TM6900HD Super receiver that way mate!!
Softcam a totally different ball game - nothing to do with 'hard' cams such as Dragon, T-Rex, Diablo, etc mate!

Thanks holm, i guess i can put it back in the cupboard then. Seems a waste to throw away a neat little bit of kit even if it is old and no use to me anymore.
I you google you should find some files for fun cards still for RAI and TNTSAT
