problems to connect with vucc,dcc,filezilla etc????

Hi!

newbie questions!!!

got my new vu+ solo2 box and installed BH 2.0.0 and got it online with a usb dongle(at least i get to download plugins and stuff in download addons menu) BUT when i tri to connect with either vucc,dcc, or filezilla i cant connect..
i type in ip adress of the box,port 21, username root, an password is blank( i also tried vuplus as password) but no connection??
what could be wrong and what could i try??

i´m using dcc and it works great...
however from the beginning i gave a password to make it work good,,,but as you say leaving it empty should be ok...

you could try giving your box a password...

in startmenu on dcc configuration...enter a password ex:vu+solo2.

then further down..go in to Telnet

and enter (passwd) yes should be passwd not password
now put in your password ex:vu+solo2...nothing will be shown ..but after Writing in ex:vu+solo2 hit the enter button.
and enter the password once again and hit enter...
now Telnet should tell you that password for root changed by root.
Close the dcc

start dcc up again make shure your password is in first page configuration..
also make shure you pressed the right button in configuration if you use a router or direct cossover in Connection type.....
now it should work,,, if not check your ip settings.

now i got connection with my solo2 box
BUT when i try to ftp cccam files over in var/tmp folders and install it on my vu+ it doesnt appear when i go at blue panel????

nice you have Connection..
after you ftp-d them over in var/tmp folder...go to box press green button then yellow and you manuall install them either as ipk file or bh file..
you only press blue button once and go sideways to the installed cam... and press ok to activate it.

i have tried that chris-k but there are no cam options there??????????????+

and you loaded cam´s for version 2 ????
after ver 2.0 images the older cams for ver1.6 wont work....

btw: in Blackhole when you pusch the blue button once ...in the top of the screen it should show how many cams you have installed.(mine says 3 cams)
if it dont show any cam installed then use the cams i gave a link to (or any other oe2.0 cams for BH)
if it says you have cam allready installed simply press left /right on remote to the cam you want to activate and press ok...

Have you checked your receivers IP address in the VU+ Network settings?
What make/model router are you using?

I used to get the same thing on my uno
have you tered reflashing the adding the needed files

is this box a clone

how old

my problem ended up being a psu prob got a new one from goldwafers and
all sorted
