    Question Channel open

Hi - Quick question. Should Hustler on 19.2 12344H clear with the latest softcam on the SD5000? Not clearing for me.

It hasn't changed key for ages and is opening for me. Have you ever had it clearing?

I haven't got a SD5000 but what emu are you using?

It needs a CryptoWorks (Irdeto) emu with a setup that works for ORF/ATV+ (CAID of 0D05).

On a Dreambox that would be a modified version of MgCamD and based on version 1.35a or similar.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies. I am using Compass 2nd June softcam. Tried the other channels on 12344 and they aren't clearing either. Weird thing is I tried to open some of the ORF channels. If I try ORF Sport+ it doesn't clear, but if I open ATV2 it clears, and then go back to ORF Sport+ that then clears. Any ideas?

I don't know if you have IKS installed, but I read on another forum that the SD5000 version of IKS is not compatible with softcam.

No IKS installed. Just done a factory reset, reloaded softcam and still not clearing? Checked the keys for D050C under Cryptoworks and the are the same as in the softcam file. Noticed there is an 06 & 80 key there as well as the 00 & 01 from the softcam. Is that correct?

The full CAID for Hustler (19.2E) is 0D0510 which isn't in the file you are using.

It should only need 00 and 06 but having others shouldn't cause a problem. Try adding the info in the attached TXT file to your Softcam file.

BTW the keys in my attachment should open one of the Dorcel channels (late night only) at 19.2E as well.

I hope you are only interested for educational reasons

    Thanks guys. Still not clearing.
This is what I've just tried...
    - factory reset
    - reload SPI2.32 patch
    - factory reset
    - setup motor
    - reload latest softcam
    - rescan 12343H

    Still no joy :(

I've attached what they keys are showing for 0D050C - looks ok to me? Any more ideas?

To diagnose what keys are working, I use an old Hauppauge SS1 with vPlug emulator.
vPlugs monitor shows the key in use and the CAID of the key and that only seems to recognise the 0D0510 for Hustler and Dorcel.

So I'm well confused unless there is a replace file in your receiver (or thge cam in use) that points all W 0D05's to W 0D050C as the 06 key is the same for all channels.

vahid isn't developing that emu any more so it may be a quirk in his emu.

Ok thanks for the replies all. Maybe time for an upgrade.
