Cant connect to Solo2 with VUCC

I wonder if you can help me.

Using VUCC 0.6 on a Solo2 (running BH 2.02)

VUCC was working yesterday but just started giving this message: "Access violation at address in VUCC module..."

From the same computer I can ping the Solo2 and I can open Webif fine...control box, take snapshots etc.

Any ideas?
I've tried turning off firewall, av, reinstalling VUCC

edit: ftp doesn't work to the Solo2 either

try reinstalling the software mate, or try from another comp

Reads to me like an incompatibility problem. You don't say which OS you are using but if 7 or 8 try setting the compatibilty settings to XP SP1,2 or 3 before you try anything else.

Even though you state that you have tried reinstalling I would suggest uninstalling, rebooting and then resinstalling again. If it is still the same then I'd suggest trying DCC instead of VUCC as it is more featured anyway and is compatible with all E2 boxed. Don't let the Dreambox reference fool you.

Cheers donki, will give that a go too...

Suspect there's some init file tucked away somewhere that is tsr so vucc is violating memory as it tries to connect to the stb.

Ok tried all that. New computer. Dcc.
Nothing worked.
Tried turning off DHCP and assigning a new IP address. Nope.
Finally got into the box with DCC...says telnet ok but ftp not ok. Gives the following message:

"FTP1: < 500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot()"

Some permission in the box somewhere got stuck to off/false?

Like I say this was working fine. And webif can still see the box fine. Ping fine.

I used to have the same sort of problem on my uno before the oe2 was released with xp and win 8 the only way round it was a reflash in stall all that's needed but the next day I couldn't get back in me box could ping it but no ftp dcc and vucc would not work for me
all ok now

Trying to avoid reflashing, it's taken me weeks to get this image right ....

all was ok wen upgraded to the oe2 so don't no wat happened all cables and router still the same but working now
I did ask sonic1 and let him no the problem but like I said once updated to oe2 alls working a gain

Tried for a while editing vsftpd.conf via Telnet but couldn't get in via ftp. Finally reflashed and ftp back on again just like you said...
