Just reversed it, lnb out of humax into uno, and I get a signal on the uno, but when I turn the humax off it loses signal again.
What does this mean?
I don't want to have the humax on to watch this channel as that is pointless.

it seems that the humax is giving extra signal to uno
really does seem like lack of signal like humax boosting the signal, maybe recheck your cable, lnb all connections
also in manual scan what are your settings.
In manual scan I am scanning 12480 V 27500 3/4
Tuner A vuplus dvb-s nim
Single transponder

Astra 1 H 19.2e

No
This is what it says down the left side I'm manual scan.
Is that what you meant?
I will check all connections later just in case.

thats different to mine, this is mine
tuner a dvb-s nim (dvb-s2)
unless you missed the (dvb-s2) part off your post
Yes I left that off the end, sorry.

Any other ideas, or do you think the stb is faulty?

have you checked all connections, reloaded a newer channel list?
like i said previously your humax seems to be boosting the signal, have you tried nudging the dish east or west within the motor menue to see if that helps
even tho you have done the fpga upgrade.i to find that the tuner is not as good as my spider box, for example certain channels i got with the spider box are a lot higher signal wise than on the uno.maybe try using usuals if your motor can do that.even tho your humax locks on to those channels does not mean everything is spot on as better tuner and 1.2 metre dish i suppose would compensate for a slightly off dish,i would recheck every connection, check dish alighnment.

I just tried my vu+uno on Sport 1 and i am getting interference on it with 1.5 p.f dish, then tried tm5400 with 1.8 pf dish same effect.
then tried tm 6800 on 1m pf dish and it was all clear.
then switched the router off at mains and everthing went clear.
this is worth a try regards waltwal
I have checked all connections and uploaded a new channel list and adjusted dish east and west slightly but made no difference.
Waltwal, although you said you get interference do you gat a good signal because I don't get any. Does your Internet router cause this? I will try it with my home hub turned off.
pixey
well thats me stumped then if you have checked everything
but if looped through humax you get those frequencies which to me means it is boosting a weak signal,so somewhere down the line your losing signal
hopefully some one will chip in with some other ideas
The snr with the hub on is 87% but with it off this goes up to 96% this on 1.5m dish,
this seems to me that the spurious signal could be blocking the real one, dont forget that this could be coming from any other electronic device
the tm6800 that was clear in the first reply is located 20ft away in another room.
p.s I have ordered a new router regards waltwal
