    where to start?

    I know nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing about this, totally clueless, there are some books posted on here what would be the best book to start with?

    A Byte of Python and Apress.Beginning.Python.From.Novi ce.To.Professional.2005 look like a good starting point mate.

    'They' are talking about introducing the Raspberry Pi into schools - if schoolkids can learn Python - I'm sure us 'older' folks can

    Its my experience that you need a project to learn a programming language - you can't just read a book.
    So - I have created a project!

    seems logical , maybe we can start a group project so we can share our ideas as we learn .
