    Internal HDD partition

I have installed my WD hard drive ok and initialised it, device manager says 298Gb free space, but it will only record to the 620mb or so small partition? I can't see any settings other than the movies direct to hdd/film and nothing to direct the recordings to the right place. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Was it a new drive?
If previously partitioned then you might want to take it out again and delete all the existing partitions and then try again. In my experieince I have never seen more the one partition so wonder where this "small" partition has come from because it should not be there. My guess is that is was already configured before you installed the drive.
