    F100 fault on spiderbox Help

    hi all my name is dave and i'm a newbie my spider box 9900 has a f100 fault and box comes on for 2 seconds then off again how do i get rid of this its driving me nuts

    It is normal for the Spiderbox 9900 to display F100 on startup, it is only if it remains on F100 that you have a problem, and you would need to use the recovery tool to get rid of it, and for the receiver to work normally again.

    If F100 is displayed for a few seconds this is normal when powering on the receiver.

    As Aldo said, if it just sticks on F100 for ever then you require the RS232 recovery tool.

    i managed to get a cheap HD9000 from **** recently (probably one of yours... ) anyway, the recovery software doesnt appear to work for me - ive tried windows 10 laptop with USB to SERIAL - to no avail, i tried a PCI-E Serial card - again on Windows 10 - to no avail, i then tried a Windows XP VM parsing through the comms ports, to no avail.

    is the box dead? it just has F100 on the front.

    can a box display F100 on the front, and NOT be resolved by recovery method?
