What happened to the 20 Freesat channels on 27.5W??

20 channels (Incl.4 HD channels) were transmitting FTA on Intelsat 907 (27.5W) last week. Now they seem to have disappeared. Does anybody have some knowledge about this, and able to cast some light on a possible return??
All channels went through loud and clear in Southern Portugal, so they are dearly missed.....

    Yes, that's the ones.
Is there a way by means of funcard or other card to decode BISS for these channels?? If so where is the best place to get the latest keys for this??
Grateful for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Intelsat is providing space segment capacity to Arqiva as part of its multi-platform distribution system for the BBC’s digital channels. Arqiva has been named as the preferred supplier for the BBC’s transmission services after analogue switchover, though the operator is also in the process of acquiring the BBC’s existing provider NGW.

Intelsat’s IS-907 satellite at 27.5 degrees West will take a similar role to that used by Telstar 12 (15 degrees West) for Arqiva’s distribution of Five. Arqiva will use IS-907 to feed the signal to 90 main transmitter sites around the UK. The signal is likely to be encrypted to restrict reception of the feed to Arqiva itself.

We all know that was just asking post 3 where they were ( just my wicked sense of humor )

Edit.... Sorry great dane cannot help with your dilemma, but wish you luck in your location with these channels.

What is the point of encrypting channels that are fta on another satellite, the beeb seems to waste too much of our money !

Probably so that folk like the OP, seemingly based in Southern Portugal and like ourselves here in certain parts of España, cannot clear the channels....the footprint of 27.5ºW is easy to receive whereas Astra 2D (carrying BBC & ITV services) is a known and difficult bird to capture with smaller than a 2.4m dish. We have obviously gained a little with the start of Astra 1N, ITV and Channel 5 etc.

    Best wishes.
