    oscam for S4000

    Hello,

I made some oscam-1.20-svn builds for the S4000 since the octagon stuff didn't satisfy me, you can find them in _http://www.goodoldjapie.com/ftp/Icecrypt

The svn5983 file is build with -O0 and I have been running it for a couple of weeks without problems, the 6008 build is build with -Os and openssl and is for testing. (experience from the past learned me that compiler optimizations can make the binary more buggy so the -O0 is more stable)

The archives contains configs for the internal reader and Dutch Canal Digitaal card and a modified /var/bin/autorun.sh to start it at boot time.
Build with stlinux-2.3 just like the firmware and tested with latest Icecrypt firmware.

Feel free to test it or repack as plugin...

    oscam linux newbie question

How do you repack this as a plugin ? Do you put those files in a file called plugin and then just installed the usual way from a memory stick ?

JaapS have you tried this with S*y UK?
I did notice that the srvid list is configured correctly so I was wondering what it performs like?

SkyUK and oscam shouldn't be a problem, google for exact settings showed:

    _http://www.cardsharing-x.com/sky-uk/11593-oscam-how-setup-sky-uk.html

    or

    _http://www.cardsharing-x.com/showthread.php?t=11593

Seems like you only have to change caid and add your box-key (have no clue what that should be)

    And yet another release _http://www.japie.deserver.nl/ftp/Icecrypt/oscam-1.20svn6640-S4000.zip

Lots of fixes, for details see: _http://streamboard.gmc.to:8001/log/

In this build I added the second card reader to the config, example for CD card in lower card reader and TVV card in upper are included in the config file.

To use the second card reader you have to rip out the plastic cover above your available reader, both readers are working splendid on firmware FAC.ICECRYPT.S4000HDPVR.v1.10.32. 2012Apr04.ird but I have no clue how it does on older versions.

This setup works great with Dutch and Belgium seca3 cards, glitch free HD picture with or without recording, working as it should.

If you have this working with other cards please add your config changes over here...

Buck, where did you put your card in?

Like I wrote in the first post there are examples included:
upper card slot is configured for TV Vlaanderen
    lower cardslot for Canal Digitaal
    smargo for Sky UK.
If you use a smargo you need to pay extra attention, in the webif (login: icecrypt passwd: icecrypt) when viewing the settings for the smargo reader you have to look at the serial; Serial:SMARGO-1
That name "SMARGO-1" is given with the smargo tools package and you have to change that to reflect your own.
If U use your card in one of the available original slots you can copy the needed settings from the smargo example.

oscam is not just a softcam but a complete package speaking all kind of protocols therefore quit complex to setup, it is impossible to create one package that fulfills everybody's wishes.
Therefore; always read included comments, read the do***entation (in the webif every option has a hyperlink to the online help pages) and if those don't help you out use google...

Well managed to get it set up ok, using fw .44 as Octagon, slight freezing but at the moment having problems with my broadband. Locked the box up when using the start command, so set it to start auto and worked.

Its thanks to using a Amiko Alien and setting up oscam on that which helped.
