I recently had mine replaced by the dealer but mine was the premium plus I had to send the PSU back to the dealer and he in turn sent it to his supplier then it was replaced.

I thought all the models came with a 2 year warranty in the UK...the question is did you buy it from a dealer or not and how old is it?

If you have already done some soldiering on it (replacing the caps) and the PSU as had a repair it maybe a fault with the same component and you maybe able to do another repair on the PSU.

How do you know that it is the PSU the premium plus as a green light on the PSU does the elite?

I have attached a PSU repair manual sent to me from Opensat after mine was replaced...I am not sure if it will help you because I don't know if the PSU's are the same for both models, but it may save you sending the PSU back to Opensat.

the psu in internal on my elite .

i bought it second hand , so no supplier to contact .

im not good with switch mode power supplies , so any reading material or contacts will help atm .

sometimes the azbox powers up and sometimes it dont . fuse is fine , must be just a matter of finding failed part and replacing .

Sorry when you said PSU I thought you had an external power supply like my Premium plus does...the PSU service manual might help others...good luck with finding a fix.

i replaced them all with upgraded ones . seems to not power at all then it will power fine untill its switched off and then it wont power again untill it wants to .

i need some sort of repair guide for switch mode power supplies , but i dont think i will find one without paying a hefty price for it .

It's the problem with this kind of PSU : They could detect an overload and go to 'safe' mode (cutting the power)
Not easy to repair, if you don't have appropriate tools (to gradually increase the load, and test the ruptur level )

If it helps, you can get a replacement power supply for the Elite HD from the opensat web store.
    _http://www.azbox.com/index.php?id=40&pag=2
There, you will only find the Premium+HD power supply. Choose it and, in the Remarks text box inform them that you want it for Elite HD model.
It works out at about £30 all in and payments can be made by bank transfer or by Paypal.
