ITV4+1 EPG with CrossEPG

I have the latest Blackhole image running on my Vu+ with the CrossEPG integrated. I sure most of you have noticed that there is no EPG for ITV4+1,UTV+1, STV1+1 and some others. I know CrossEPG can be used to create an EPG for other channels (Aliases) but can it create a time offset alias? I checked CrossEPG on Code Google and someone has modified the alias.py to enable a time delayed alias. Now you can take the EPG data from ITV4 delay it by 60 mins and make it the EPG for ITV4+1 and do the same for the other +1 channels that don't have an EPG. I have tested it and it works a treat. I replaced the file alias.py in usr\crossepg\scripts\alias with the one from the website. You can backup the original if you wish. Add the lines to you alias.conf. Remove any other
uneeded entries.

Configure CrossEPG to include script providers and enable the alias script. Now you should have EPG for ITV4+1 etc. If the next programme is not scheduled for more than an hour the epg will be blank until then.After this all should be ok. It does have a little problem with some special characters and will skip these if in the titles or summaries. Make sure you have a swap file set up on a USB stick otherwise you will be restarting your Vu+ every few days.

hey mate, i have an Xtrend et9200 on the latest VIX 2.3 image, and i use CrossEPG (opentv) - and i DO get ITV4+1 info....how am i getting this!??!??!?

i think i have a EPG.DAT file that was originally rytecxml and now ive switched to OPENTV, so im sure after x amount of days, i'll stop seeing open tv epg info for itv4+1

I don't know if it's changed but at the time of the post, ITV4+1 and some others didn't have an EPG on OpenTV. I don't use VIX but I'm sure CrossEPG works the same on VIX. Maybe you could add the alias.py and edit the alias.conf if the EPG for ITV4+1 stops working.
