    Lost BBC HD channels

I've heard that the format for BBC HD channels has changed and now I can't find them when I do a scan of Astra 2. Has anybody else had this problem and if so is there a solution?

You need need to rescan and use the DVB-S2 option.

The BBC Channels have had a change in the frequency details:

    10847 V 23000 8/9 DVB-S2/QPSK

Just in case you do not have the details for Channel 4 HD, they are:

    12607 V 27500 3/4 DVB-S2/QPSK

Thanks all for your positive responses. Will try a rescan tomorrow - family's watching at the mo so would be a bad time to do it now.....

Quick update. When I select the DVB-S2 option prior to a rescan I lose the 'quality' bar. Any suggestions? Do I need to tweak the dish? (btw no probs with ITV-HD.)

I also recently lost BBC HD channels. I had the same settings as post #4, but had to change the pilot from 1 to 0 to get the quality back. All is fine now.

You have to input all of the details here:

    10847 V 23000 8/9 DVB-S2/QPSK

Not just DVB-S2, you may also have to change the FEC

    Absolutely no signal at all...!

Tried all the settings as suggested, only the symbol rate is different (220000 not 230000). No quality signal at all. Scan finds nothing - not surprisingly. any further suggestions?

why would there be any further suggestions ?

you have been given the correct transponder details for the rearranged channels , once you scan that correct transponder you should get the channels you asked for

in other words , why would there be alternative suggestions when the correct info was given in the first place ? ( and more than once too )

the S/R rate is now 23000 so its a bit pointless you using 22000 isnt it ?

You were using dvb-s now it is dvb-s2 unless your box does not do DVB-S2 ??

he has already stated in post 6 that at least one of the itv1HD channels works ok so it must be S2 compatible

May I make one further suggestion to you, please check that you have the correct DVB-S/DVB-S2 selected as there are 3 options:

    DVB-S QPSK

    DVB-S2 8PSK

    DVB-S2 QPSK

and could you please give the transponder details as they appear on your receiver.

These settings are working for me.
    Frequency: 10847 V

    Type: DVBS2 QPSK

    Symbol rate: 23000

    FEC: 8/9

    Pilot: 0
I had to set the FEC to 8/9 as it was not happy with auto,
    Cheers Pete.
