There is one Irish site I would not recommend, if you need an LNB a bit quick, 7 days to day still no LNB, double the price of elsewhere, and just gone up again. Now £6,458.73, don't know if this includes shipping, LOL.

This supplier seems to take 5 to 6 days to despatch, and delivery from ROI to the UK can take around another 5 days, I got an LNB from the USA quicker.

Wow, so you're receiving Irish Ka band in North Wales? Sounds like the spot beams are not as tight as originally thought....

They cannot fully control the spot beam and anyway people living in the east of Ireland with plenty of valleys and mountains who cannot receive Saorview MUST be able to receive ******* or their human rights and equality will be breached which can be pursued with the E.U. in Brussels. That is the only reason RTENL have to cover the country as a recent contributor stated they are broke and would not spend money like that unless they were forced to. Forgot to mention the gombeens who decided to use 9 east when 99.1% of satellite viewers in the Republic use 28east and all this claptrap about rights issues is a joke with the BBC broadcasting to the whole of Europe FTA (I have received nearly all over) and no rights issues there.

There will be affordable Ka lnbs later this year, there will have to be to get this service up and running as some people here in Ireland won't be able to receive Saorview DTT.
I have asked my usual supplier and he says he will stock them as soon as he can get them, but it will probably be Autumn or winter before they come on the market.
Patience and I will post when I know any more.

Ka Band LNB LO = 18750 MHz
IF Frequency = 1435 MHz (20185 MHz - 18750 MHz)

Ku receiver frequency displayed = 11185 MHz (IF 1435 MHz + Ku Lo-Band LO 9750 MHz)
scan that frequency with SR 25000, FEC 1/2, QPSK, DVB-S2.

P.S. New KA twin Lnbs are 34squid on *******.

Just to add.
Bolted a KA lnb along side my ku lnb on a 1.3 prime focus dish and receive the Irish service from 9E here on the west coast of south Wales.
If I recall lnb cost around £30 delivered in March 2012.
People further east are unable to get the service due to an interfering spot beam on the same frequency --- I must be lucky at my location being just that bit further west.

spiderbox and corect lnb will work if signal ok, best map ive seen so far is this one .green line ok east of that getting dodgy.

Hi Harrydocuk,

As far as i'm aware the spot beam is primarily focused on the island of Ireland so you should be able to receive the ******* service
with the correct setup. Hope this helps.

Belfast is also on the green line so no guarantee

from what ive read if correct they use the other 2 footprints to jam the signal, so not like a normal footprint were it just fades off and you need a bigger dish , once you hit that red line its a no signal.

Sorry for the late reply to your question -- spent the last 3 days house painting.
I live West of Neath in Pembrokeshire ---between Haverfordwest and St.Davids right on the coast.
Some in North Devon get a signal but I read somewhere that Swansea was a no no .

Don't know where you are. I believe you are correct with your understanding of the 9E signals --- where 2 beams cross the stronger one will be the one you get.
I am well inside the "green line "

im on the green line , so i recon its going to be 50/50 chance , but yeah defiantly the challenge and just to see if it works or not.

i had a spare half hour tonight and bolted up the lnb , did a scan of 11185 but nothing at all can anyone confirm this is 100% correct freq to use.

there is hell of a lot of adjustment available on the lnb so i could have been way off on that as its such a small feedhorn.

if freq is correct ill see if i can get a signal first on my meter.
