    Barclays bank problems!!

    Hello,

Was wondering if anybody else have been having problems with Barclays

online banking?.....Have three accounts with them, I have two and the missus

has one,for the last 4 days have not been able to log on to her in doors

account or indeed my second account which I only use for holiday savings

etc and emergencies....On their site they are stating maintenence work will

commence tomorrow, did ring them up only to be put in touch with India,

needless to say did not get any sense at all,has anyone else had any probs

I did a system restore to see if that would clear it back to the original setting

    but no joy there either......tomm01

I have just tried logging on and everything is working fine for me, sorry it's not quite the answer you're looking for.
Do you access the internet through a router which has the firewall enabled? you may need to clear the blacklist.
What browser are you using and have you tried an alternative?

    @whompus,

Thanks for your reply, but I thought doing a system restore would have

restored any settings that I had, I am going to wait until tomorrow to see

exactly what update barclays have performed...thanks again tommo1

I've got 2 personal accounts, 1 joint with the missus and 2 business accounts with them. No problems with log in or accessing any account.

Do you access the internet through a router which has the firewall enabled? If it has intrusion detection you may need to clear the blacklist.

Don't know how it works with Barclays but all my accounts with The Halifax and Alliance&Leicester/Santander are accessible from one logon page. I would have assumed that your accounts would be like this. Obviously your wife would have her own logon. I would ring Barclays as soon as possible to find out what's going on. Could be a server problem at their end. Have you tried logging on from a different computer? You could be the victim of malware which is diverting your logon attempts in an effort to steal your details.

    Hello again,

I remember last week for some reason the Windows security centre came up

on screen and it was the fact that the virus protection was switched OFF,

I promply switched it back on again, and it since then that this problem has

occured, the problem that I now have is I do not know how to switch it back

off again, I am covered by Kapersky internet/virus security so perhaps their

is some conflict going on between Windows and Kapersky....anyone know

how I switch this thing off....thanks in anticipation tommo1

Don't use windows so cannot help with the security centre, also not familiar with BT home hub but on my router I login to it (192.168.1.1) goto Advanced - Firewall - Intrusion Detection and select clear blacklist button, maybe BT home hub has something similar.
